LNG as a driving force for cross-border cooperation within the EU
EnergieAgentur.NRW and the Gas- und Wärme-Institut Essen e. V. invite you to a workshop „LNG Roadmap – LNG as a driving force for cross-border cooperation within the EU“ in Düsseldorf of 3 rd of July 2014.
The event focuses on the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as an alternative fuel for maritime navigation and heavy-duty vehicles.
In comparison to conventional diesel fuels LNG has a considerable cost-saving potential and make a contri-bution to climate and environmental protection. The benefits of using LNG are: no particle emission, 80%-90% lower NOx-emissions and 10%-20% saving of CO2
compared to conventional diesel fuels. Furthermore, an addition of local produced bio-LNG could lead to total reduction of 80% of CO2-emissions.
The workshop „LNG Roadmap“ is a part of the project „LNG an Rhein und Waal“.
