Theladdersinnersectionallowstheladdertobefoldedinto3setpositions;extensionladder,twinstepladder,andstorage.Eachoftheseconfigurationsismadepossiblebyusingthepushknoblockinghingelocatedoneachsideoftheladder.

Toadjusttheangleoftheladder: 1)Withthecenterhingesintheclosed position(SeeFigure1)pushthepush knobswiththepalmofyourhand directlyintothecenteroftheladder, theywillstayintheopenposition.

2)Intheopenposition(SeeFigure2) theladderanglecanbeadjusted.

4 SPRINGLOADED“J”LOCKS

LOCK OPERATIONFor safety, follow these Spring Loaded “J” Locks instructions:

Theladdersoutersectionsallowtheladdertotelescopeandchangeheightsinallthe configurations,besidesthescaffoldmode.Eachoftheseconfigurationsismadepossibleusingthe4SpringLoaded“J”locks,2eachon eitherside.

TheSpringLoaded“J”locksareoperatedbypullingstraightoutandthenrotatingthemawayfromtheholesintherails.Each“J”lockworksindependentlyallowingtheendusertoworkthelockwithonehandwhileholdingtheladderwiththeother.

Toadjusttheheightoftheladder:

1)Unlockthe4“J”locksbypullingoutand rotatingthe“J”lockawayfromtherung hole(SeeFigure3).

2)Raisetheinnersectiontothedesiredheight.

3)Whileholdingtheinnerladdersectionwith onehand,lockthe4“J”locksbyrotating themintothelockedposition (SeeFigure4).

4)Ensureall4“J”locksaresecureinarung holebeforeclimbing.

1)Toconfiguretheladderintothestepladder position,followthedirectionsforchangingthe angleoftheladder(Section3)usingthepush knoblockinghinge.

Note:Thestepladderpositioniseasiest completedwiththeladderstandingup.Inthispositionexcesspressureisnotexertedon thehinge.

2)Atthispointtheheightoftheladdercanbe changedtothedesiredheightusingtheSpring Loaded“J”locksandtheinstructionsforthem (Section4).

2)Placeinnersectioninstepladderposition. Thisisthefirstoftwotrestlesrequiredforthe scaffold position.

3)Usingbothremainingouterladdersections, turnonesection180degreesandinsertthe“J”locksofonesectionintotheadjacentholesofthe othersectionasshowninFigure5.

4)Lowertheouterladdersectionwiththedisengaged“J”locks (SeeFigure6)whilespreadingthetwosectionsaparttoformthe secondtrestlerequiredforthescaffoldposition.SeeFigure7.
