Local338MemberPortalRegistrationandUsageforhttp://my.local338.org Before you can use the member portal we need to verify that you’re an active member in good standing with Local 338. To do this you’ll need to register using your Member ID (your RWD number) or the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. Enter your RWD number like RWD123456 with the letters RWD upfront. You’ll also be asked for your name and date of birth. Use the name you put on your union application. Your birth date should be like 01/02/1975 for January 2, 1975.

You’ll then be asked for your username and email address – usually this will just be your first initial and last name but you can use any unique username you like, but you’ll need to remember it to log in each time. Your email address needs to be unique. If you don’t have an email address you can easily obtain one from outlook.com, yahoo.com. aol.com or other free mail services. It’s very important you have access to your email account – you’re going to receive a temporary password that you’ll need to use to complete your registration. If you make a mistake and type in the wrong address or if you don’t receive the registration email please contact the office.

Once you’ve completed the above steps you’ll receive your registration email:

You’ll need the temporary password to complete the registration process (TIP: You can copy the password from your email and paste it into the password field on the portal login screen.) Click the link in the email or go to http://my.local338.org to complete registration. You’ll be asked to choose 3 questions and answers – this should be information that others may not know about you – you can even make up the answers – but WRITE THE ANSWERS DOWN if you’re not likely to remember them. You’re going to need to answer these questions in the future to get into the portal.

Once you’ve answered the questions you’ll be asked to log into the Member Portal.

The first screen you see will be your Home Page. Here you’ll find information about your claims, quick links to get to your contract, your Summary Plan Description, and other important locations on and off the Portal. You’ll also see important news from both Local 338 and the labor world in general. It can take up to 2 hours from when you register to begin to see your medical, dental and optical claims in the system. Once logged in feel free to look over the system.
