The council went on to purchase a
multi user licence and over the course
of two days a number of the Arts and
Leisure team underwent end user
training.
Data was collected via an EPOS system recording use
of membership cards. The main issue the council
wished to address was how to efficiently turn data
into collected meaningful information at a quick
speed.
As a proof of concept, within a couple of days
Connexica provided the Council with a
number of reports including Dashboards
and Maps based on a set of anonymised
data from the council. Representatives
from the council’s IT and end user
departments were delighted with the
results.
Local Authority Case Study
Part of West Berkshire Councils
services, are the management of
eight leisure centres, some of
which run in partnership with
‘Parkwood Health & Fitness’. The
aim of the leisure centres is to
provide and promote a healthier
lifestyle for residents.
It was essential for the council to monitor, in detail,
the usage of the centres in order to ensure the
service being delivered was accurate. This required
analysing the data of all the residents who attended
the leisure centres, and what activities they engaged
in.

Community Services, Children and Young people.
