Letter to Chapter Membership

September 15, 2017

Dear North East FBLA Members,

As members, you are at different stages in your FBLA careers. Some of you are utilizing your FBLA experiences as you prepare for the future, while others are finding out what FBLA is all about. No matter what stage you are at, we hope you take full advantage of the opportunities provided by this chapter. By being highly involved, you will not only improve the community and school, increase your leadership skills and develop business knowledge, but you will step up to the challenges of FBLA and hold strong.

Our officer team is extremely pleased with our record breakingsuccess we experienced at the 2017 State Leadership Conference inHunt Valley, and the especially the 2017 National LeadershipConference in Anaheim, California; where four members earned theAmerica Level of Business Achievement Awards. However, we areready to see what this year holds for North East FBLA. Through theuse of innovative workshops, we will use creativity, develop businessskills, and increase communication and critical thinking skills. Asmembers, you are the backbone of this chapter, and your skills andabilities will contribute to the success of future chapter events.

Community service projects, such as the March of Dimes andArtoberfest, this year will continue to grow. We are adding newprojects to benefit the school which will be highly impactful due tocontinual member dedication. Also, working with other organizations, within our school, will provide additional opportunities to work withthe community.

At the August officer orientation meeting, the North East FBLAofficer team set six major goals for our Program of Work. As thelargest FBLA chapter in Cecil County, we have more opportunities toimpact our community and school. Being a small, quaint town on theChesapeake Bay, we have the opportunity to work hand in hand withlocal businesses. With participation from our members, we cancomplete all the goals set by the officer team and much more.

The officer team urges each member to take the opportunity to strivefor greatness and always put in 110%. I wish each of you the best ofluck upon stepping up to the challenge this year. It takes hard workand dedication, but this year we ask you to be part of our “OnePursuit.”

Sincerely.
