AIESEC in IPN 2014.
Luis Daniel Palacios Venegas.
Who is Daniel Palacios?
22 years old.
International Business Undergraduate 2013 from ESCA Santo Tomas- IPN.
Works at DHL Express.
Speaks English and French.
LCVP OGX GCDP 2013.
AIESEC member since September 2010 when I was 19 years old, being member
of the áreas Business Development (ICX GIP), Alumni Relations, ICX GCDP and
OGX GCDP.
Loves and passioante of any kind of music, asian food, swimming, reading,
partying, politics, journalism, languages, films and social issues.

EB Experience
Being part of EB 2013 of AIESEC in IPN 2013 has been one of the best memories of
my life, enjoying with my team and EB partners our work, with members, Eps,
Trainees and students , it’s an experience that anyone would understand once
lived. Mixing it with Family, friends, school and work makes it even more unique,
intense but 100% enjoyable.
This has been the most exciting year ever!
Application.
Why am I applying to EB 2014?
I am applying for Local Executive Board for AIESEC in Mexico because I am
100% sure and determined that little by little our current generation is
creating more impact with the leadership required to expand our network,
make a positive impact in our daily environment and it is having the reaction
of young talented people which has never seen before, changing mindsets and
adapt them to a global culture of sharing and multiculturalism changing all
our local aspects into positive massive things.

My Strenghts and Weaknesses.
Personal Strengths How this will make you a better Leader?
Motivation It gives me the opportunity to inspire persons by leading them through the
example, keeping in mind what’s our personal and professional objective in life.
Passion This strength helps me to be more enthusiastic about the things I do, enjoy them,
keep the positive side of the things and give extra efforts to move from good to
great and always smile when there are challenges to overcome.
Engagement It allows me to take responsibility in the things that I do, how I can improve day by
day, knowing that every little moment is a huge opportunity to do something
great.
Personal Weaknesses What are you doing to overcome these weaknesses?
Being Emotional. Controlling situations and testing my emotional intelligence.
Trusting easily in persons. Determine how engaged people are with their objectives and by their actions,
Keeping feelings with me. By talking, giving and receiving objective feedback , being opened and consider
further actions.

Financial Sustainability in risk by high operations volume.
Sustainable and Strong GCDP projects. Not having a Stakeholder focus will lead us to lose them.
Improvement of delivering experiences with leadership. Lack of Processes establishment to retain knowledge.
Strategic partnerships with Alumni and current TN takers to
improve and boost operations to all areas.

GROWTH WITH QUALITY AND SUSTAINTABILITY Efficient processes, documentation system to retain knowledge
delivered by OP & IM.
Delivering quality exchanges with MoS and KPI’s according to
improve NPS by both ICX and OGX.
Recovering partnerships lost by having a stakeholders and
customer service focus
POSITIONING IN THE NETWORK Stronger decisions and cooperations for ensuring exchanges.
Organizing corporate and non corporate events to spread AIESEC
IPN network with stakeholders and potential ones such as
Univeristy Authorities
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN LC Create Awareness, organizational culture and local committee
identity in order to empower leadership in our members with

One and Only AIESEC IPN achieving by leading.
One and Only stands for having one same vision and goal in common for all areas, from EB, Middle Managers, TLP and TMPs which will allow us to have a unique opportunity to be one team working together for the same purpose with SYNERGY.
AIESEC IPN goes directly to the point of our opportunities, growth and knowledge, we are a very extraordinary LC which has a lot of internal and external opportunities to concrete, but we also have a wonderful student community full of talent and it is our duty to empower it.
Achieving by leading means reaching our functional and operational goals by developing our leadership skills, every member must have a leadership experience no matter which position, members must have an integral phase where they can go through important and strategic decisions, we must get rid of the lack of strong leadership in our LC.
Why do I want to be LCP?
I want to be LCP because I am 100% sure about the potential and talent that
AIESEC in IPN has, it is a giant waking up, it’s something that I want to
experience during next year, lead and empower a huge generation of leaders
using technology, facing current challenges in our country and world, it’s
something that I’ve been dreaming of, being the face of AIESEC in IPN national
and international would be something wonderful and inspiring, representing the
LC it’s a huge honor that I am willing, available and determined to take. I can
guarantee that I know to maximize and give the potential needed to this
generation to boost our goal and it can only be made by believing. I do believe
that the only way to achieve is together.

Why 293 Exchanges?
AIESEC in IPN has a huge potential to grow and LEAD the next year AIESEC in
Mexico by being the number one LC not ionly in number of experiences
delivered but also in quality processes and the development of member’s
leadership.
Having one focus, alignment and vision will take us to succeed, having
functions set and bieng run by themselves.

Account Delivery; Being responsable of tracking all corportate and Non corporateaccounts, all iGIP partners, all iGCDP partners, all OGX partners like universitiesand also being the main responsible for having a strong realtionship with IPN.
OP & IM: Manage all IM and Operations support already exisiting, adding functionssuch as creating one corporta intranter, imporve systems documentation and ensuring quality, MoS and KPIs, internal audtis and retain knowledge in LC.
External and Alumni Relations: Having a focus on Alumni trakcing and capitalization also support adding functions of Sales Force, iGIP would be the onlyárea with its own sales team, the others will be allocated here, this will give usthe chance to be smarter sellers and concrete more partnerships.
MKT and PR: It’s a medular área, not only for being our first face and interactionwith person,s they will take care of media plan, PR plan and organizing corporateand non corporate events, dynamics with members and will be a main área foreveryone.
Why this structure?
Structure must have an aligned vision in order to decrease operativity and increase support, diversified tasks and actions allowing membership to have a huge leadership experience.
Considering this structure as a tool and other areas alignment and benefits by the following statements;
360 Product Packaging; It’s a product composed by several programs, it’s packaging benefits from different areas and benefit ourselves at the same level having integral partnerships.
Stakeholder Focus; We need to recover lost accounts, boost the ones we have and create new ones in all areas, being iGIP the focus program means having more quality in delivering, from Trainees, companies, universities, EPs and our university IPN, develop to the top these relationships will lead us to success.
Quality Management and Operations Efficiency; Administrative areas will have the important task to ensure quality of processes quickly and well done since the very beginning, it will help us to retain knowledge, develop membership and taking into action plans

Why iGIP? According to macroeconomic statics and analysis of myaiesec.net pull and
demand ranking, Mexico has the potential to grow in this program far way
that we could ever imagine. Globalization process, being one emergent
economy as a nation, seizing our comparative and competitive advantages
will lead us to global change and it is needed international young talent to
accomplish for public and private sectors this statement of growth.
It has direct benefits and contribution to the other programs, such as product
packaging, stakeholder focus in all senses (EP, trainee, company) and
membership empowerment.
The only way to achieve is all areas having a SAME timeline, going on ONE AND
ONLY direction with Synergy.
Some of my key learnings in 2013…
Team Management & empowerment: I had such an amazing team being VP OGX GCDP, the team and I had lots of challenges but we overcame them by standing together and having a common vision, this will be applied for LCP as integrating one same vision and goal to the LC.
Organization and Timeline definition: I had to come up with ideas that would allow me to keep operations in the area, this I would take it as empowering experiences for EB and membership that might be good to membership full development by establishing professional and clear work.
Motivation and leadership skills: These skills helped me to clear any misunderstanding, reminding me why I am here and what I want to achieve, I would use these learning to improve motivation and integration inside the LC.
Time Management: I used to work, be at the last semester of my major and being VP, this experience was one of the most intense I have ever had, by focusing on priorities and what needs to be done, schedule it and organize it I was able to be good at the 3 things having a support from everyone, as an LCP I would apply it for managing right timelines with all areas, giving priorities and standing together in one same direction having goals cleared.
