Goal for Today’s Community Forum
• To better understand the Local Control and
Accountability Plan or LCAP.
• To provide input on Etiwanda School District’s LCAP.
California’s Education Funding
Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is California’s
education funding system.
• Provides more flexibility and local control in decisions
regarding student achievement.
• Involves parents, students and teachers in decisions
about academic programs and expenditures.
• Includes funding for high need students
i.e. free and reduced lunch, English learner, and
foster youth students.

Community Forum Activity
Today, we are going to engage in small group presentations with district and school administrators to
highlight actions, programs and services aligned with our three District Goals:
Goal 1: Conditions of Learning
Goal 2: Pupil Outcomes
Goal 3a: Student Engagement
Goal 3b: Parent Engagement
Our focus for this activity is to gather stakeholder input about each of our goals.
Circle the Sage
ROUND 1:
• Start with assigned goal area, then select
one poster to visit. There are two identical
posters for each goal.
• Sages will ask a question and provide a
brief presentation. There will be time for
your questions at the end of the
presentation.
ROUNDS 2 - 4:
At the signal rotate to the next goal area until
you’ve engaged in all four presentations.
