• Outside Funding
– Very difficult to get financial support from
companies in Korea due to severe economic crisis
– But the high exchange rate of Korean won to US
dollars helps a lot in balancing the budget
– Thus we can expect a small budget surplus without
financial support from the companies in Korea.
– We are still seeking financial support from US and
Korean companies and government agencies (NSF, ONR,
etc.).
– Financial support from HP in US of around 3000US$.

• Registration Fee for Attendees from Korea
– There is a severe economic crisis in Korea, even relative to US
– High exchange rate of Korean won to US dollars; it changed
from 950Kwon/1USD, 2008 to 1550Kwon/1USD, today.
– Very difficult for attendees from Korea to register for ISIT2009.
– We would like to post the registration fee for attendees from
Korea in Korean won at an exchange rate of 1350Kwon/1USD.
– Gives an advance registration fee for IEEE members of 945,000Kwon.
– We could post this information in Korean for Korean attendees.
– If the exchange rate goes down, we can adjust accordingly.
