Invitation to young scientists
Programme
The promotion of young scientists is one of the main tasks addressed by the six German Cen-ters for Health Research (DZG). Joint measures of all six DZG not only allow ‘to think outside the box’ but also enhance networking activities between young researchers and encourage the formation of collaborations. With the first joint workshop „Translating Science into Clinical Practice“ offered by the German Center for Di-abetes Research (DZD) a DZG workshop series started in November 2017. The German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK) now in-vites young scientists from all DZG to partici-pate in the second DZG workshop within this series. The workshop „Planning and designing a good clinical study“ is directed at young scientists who aspire a career in clinical research but do not necessarily already have relevant knowl-edge and experience in the field. The aim of the workshop is to clarify the basics that need con-sideration when planning a clinical study and to provide insights into regulatory, ethical and organizational aspects of clinical studies and clinical research as well as the required infra-structure.
