Logistics Arts – RFID-Recycling/-container & waste compactors retrofit kit (attachment) Case 9: RFID Retrofit Kit

Many larger objects such as recycling containers and waste compactors are objects with high acquisition costs, which are often standing unsupervised at customers site and also this not seldom over a longer period.

Are these stolen and repainted there is hardly no way for a later identification. Besides that recycling containers and waste compactors are in principle often not identifiable, which complicates the usage in an automated environment (usability for Industry 4.0).

Step1: Retrofit kit with RFID Via a later to the container resp. waste compactor attached plate with integrated RFID chip a container uniqueness is created.

In this regard the RFID chip is attached via a special designed mounting without the complicated use of a welding unit in a short time. Extremely strong magnets adhere the RFID chip permanently on the object. If required he also can be inseparably combined with a two-component resin, so that a later removal will be impossible except by the destruction of the chip. Step 2: Counterfeit protection

Detector of counterfeit protection The RFID resp. the frame and also the applied coating can be equipped with a special marker, which is forgery-proof.

The RFID is read by our RFID reader solution on the basis of a modular shell concept for smartphones and this depending on the application in a range of up to 3 > 5 meters! Beside RFID the unit can read barcodes too and via the smartphone cam also QR- and DataMatrix codes can be scanned. With the smartphone its possible to connect worldwide to our cloud system via our app. Via the GPS system of the mobile phone even so a tracking of the load carrier can take place. With the mobile phone camera damages of load carriers can be documented to be filed to the cloud via the app.
