Region 10 is currently the largest IEEE region with 67,157 members as of 31 December 2007, representing 17.8% of IEEE’s total membership.
Membership in Region 10 is down by 0.4% from December 2007, representing a loss of 285 members
The Region has 42,380 Higher Grade Members and 24,777 Students
Higher Grade membership is up by 2.5%, representing a gain of 1,044 members.
Student membership is down by 5.1%, a loss of 1,329 students
Senior Member Elevations: 362 Members elevated to Senior Member during 2007.

IEEE Region 10 MD Grant Payout in 2007
A total MDC Grant of US$31,668 has been credited into the Custody Accounts of R10 Sections respectively, where about 82.3%, or USD26,068, goes to student subsidy.
For Sections with no Custody Accounts, the MD Grant will be sent out together with the 2007 Section Rebate in 2008 (to minimize on administration and banking fees).

It was decided in the ExCom Meeting at Jeju Island on 13 January 2008 to constrain the MDC Budget to $24,000 in 2008.
It was also agreed at the same ExCom Meeting to propose a more effective and responsible way to use of the MDC Grant.
