To make students develop their sense of aesthetics, enrich their imaginative power and promote their softer feelings.

To familiarize students with Henry Wotton’s concept of a happy man

List out the character traits mentioned by the poet

I will facilitate students to understand and learn from English poetry in an enjoyable way.

I will make students’ pairs / groups to let them evaluate and explore the symbolic meaning of English poetry by giving directions and quoting some real life examples.

I will observe and monitor that what they have done and what kind of difficulties they are facing.

I will put up some questions from the work

they have done.

Change in questioning strategies to promote critical and creative thinking among students.

Encouraging students instead of praising. Focus on WHAT they answer, not HOW they

a. Students may read poetry as they read prose without any rhythm and melody.

b. There may be some students who do not wish to work together.
