Looking back at my preliminary task, I feel I have learnt a lot in

the progression from it to the full product.

The evaluation of my preliminary task• How well does your preliminary task fulfil the brief?

I think my task fulfils the brief well as I have included all aspects such as writing pictures and the correct pages.

• What obstacles did you overcome in order complete the preliminary task?when I began I did not know how to use the programme or cameras properly but by the end I managed to learn the basics on both through video tutorials and asking others for advice.

• How could you have improved the production values of your preliminary task?I could have included a logo or trade mark of some kind

• What tutorials did you use in order to help you complete the preliminary task?I used a tutorial on how to focus the camera as well as multiple tutorials on how to use different aspects of Photoshop.

• What important lessons have your learned in preparation for completing your main task?if I get stuck their are tutorials on almost every aspect of the camera and programmes and that I need to think about what the end product needs to have before I start trying to do the task.

What this lead me to do • I looked firstly at the improvements I said I could make and

the first one was including a logo or trademark, so when I looked at the blender magazine I had a look to see if they had something that was trademark about their magazine and it appeared there title font was their trademark so I spent a long time when creating my magazine looking at my title font and trying to match it. Blender dose not have a logo so as I was using this as my model magazine I decided although I said as an improvement I would include a logo I did not as it was not appropriate.

Next....• I looked at the important lessons part of my

evaluation and saw that the thing I needed to focus on watching more tutorials to help me learn how to do things on YouTube and Photoshop, this is why I decided to spend time after completing the preliminary task watching lots of tutorials so I had further knowledge of Photoshop and YouTube. I then used there tutorials along with practicing with images from Google to see how to use the different aspects of the programmes.

What I have done pre creating my magazine.

• I have done lots more research than I originally thought I would need to do as when creating my school magazine for my preliminary task I noticed there was a lot more to creating a magazine that people want to buy or even read. After making my magazine for the preliminary I noticed there is a lot more to a magazine than just some text and a picture. However although I had to do extra research I realised it helped a lot having a clear picture to begin with.
