The market for printed electronics is both new and dynamic. And the principle behind it is as simple as it is ingenious: Con-ductive plastics that can be printed on film, paper or textiles make extremely flat and flexible electronic components possible—as the basis for new and innovative applications in the automotive, pharma, packaging, lighting and display sectors.

What was still a vision yesterday is now a reality. For example, smart textiles with pressure sensors for seat occupancy recog-nition, printed antennas, self-dimming rear-view mirrors and medical test strips with diagnosis electrodes.
