As elders, we have been praying and seeking the Lord’s heart concerning our first building. We’re very excited to share with you that as we have pursued Him, He has been gracious to lead us in a new direction. For those of you who have been with us for the last three years, you have experienced the periodic “Heave-Ho.” While this strategy has provided approximately $600,000, allowing us to complete phases 1 and 2, we have observed that its success is based on disposable income or savings. It is not so effective if you need time to save in order to give. Now we have decided to move forward with a new strategy…a three-year pledge campaign. This approach allows us to give strategically and sacrificially above and beyond our normal monthly giving. This is truly an opportunity to worship and grow in our faith. Jesus says in Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” We hope you will take a look at the information in this brochure and consider joining us in meeting the goal to which we believe God is calling our church. A Note from the Elders And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

A Note from the Elders

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

Meeting the Goal TogetherWe want to reiterate that sacrificial gifts are different from regular giving. We must continue to give faithfully. But by making some extra sacrifices, we can work together, each family doing its part, to complete this building project in ten months!

Here’s how we can get there:per

week = per month = per year x 3 years # of families

total given

$5 $20-25 $260 $780 8 $6,240

$10 $40-50 $520 $1,560 8 $12,480

$25 $100-125 $1,300 $3,900 10 $39,000

$50 $200-250 $2,600 $7,800 15 $117,000

$75 $300-375 $3,900 $11,700 20 $234,000

$100 $400-500 $5,200 $15,600 8 $124,800

$200 $800-1,000 $10,400 $31,200 7 $218,400

$300 $1,200-1,500 $15,600 $46,800 6 $280,800

$400 $1,200-1,600 $20,800 $62,400 4 $249,600

$500 $2,000-2,500 $26,000 $78,000 2 $156,000

$1,000 $4,000-5,000 $52,000 $156,000 1 $156,000

$2,000 $8,000-10,000 $104,000 $312,000 1 $312,000Total raised by 90 families: $1,906,320

We’re asking you to......Pray about what the Lord is calling you to sacrificially give....Attend a meeting the week of January 8 for further Q & A....Fill out a commitment card on January 22 with your pledge.

10 Creative Ways to GiveWe feel an urgency to move forward to bring this building project to completion because of the immense value it brings toward our mission—the mission of God through His church as the gospel transforms hearts in this body, this community and around the world! These are some of the reasons we believe a building is vital:Home A family needs a home. A place to gather for weddings, funerals, fellowships, conferences, Life Groups, studies, outreaches, services—all important ways of doing life together as a family. Unity A bond and identity comes with building something together.Tool A building vastly improves the quality and effectiveness of children’s ministry (countless possibilities), student ministry (a place to hang and grow), Sunday worship (acoustics, rehearsal space), First Impressions team and communication of ministry opportunities.Presence We will be clearly visible to our community 24/7/365 rather than just three hours on Sunday, giving us better opportunity to carry out the Great Commission, reaching people with the gospel. Kingdom It’s a strategic investment for the gospel to go forth at a larger scale and to have a greater impact in our community and around the world!

THE NEXT STEPS$1,000,000 Sanctuary, foyer, bathrooms, nursery and toddler rooms $300,000 Remaining children’s classrooms, breakout room, kitchen $400,000 Offices, conference room, mezzanine, stairs, elevator $200,000 Remaining adult and student rooms$1,900,000 Total Goal

Cut back on extra snacks, sodas, starbucks, etc. Saving $5 a week can allow you to give $240 a year and $720 in three years.1

2 Bring your lunch instead of eating out. Spending $14 less a week means saving over $2000 over three years.

9 Do your own yard work and house cleaning. In three years, the money saved could be a $7,000 donation.

10Bigger ideas: Create a budget. Gift your tax refund. Refinance your home. Limit vacations. Temporarily reduce college and retirement savings. $5,000? $8,000? Maybe $10,000?

3 Use coupons and shop smarter. You could easily save $35 a week, which would add up to over $5,000.

4 Kick a habit. Give up tobacco products this year, and give a gift of $1,440 next year with the money saved.

5 A couple of movie tickets, popcorn and cokes totals $30. Spend one less night out a month, and save $1,020 in three years.

6 Get rid of an extra like satellite TV ($60/mo), Netflix ($20/mo) or home phone line ($40/mo). Potentially save $4,320.

7 Instead of buying that CD or DVD, pocket $20 or $30 each month, and give a $300 gift each of the next three years.

8 Sacrifice a little on luxuries like manicures, golfing, new clothes, season tickets, etc. Potential savings—over $10,000.
