MEET THE STUDENICA FOUNDATION The Foundation provides scholarships for university education and funding and grants for publications and special projects.

In 1993 Serbian Unity Congress founders Miroslav Djordjevich and Dragoslav Djordjevich and two prominent leaders, Bora Vučković and Peter Cerovic founded the Studenica Foundation as one of the outgrowths of the Serbian Unity Congress mission to help the homeland. They believed that education can be the guiding principle for future recovery, prosperity, peace and stability in the region and supporting individual or institutional efforts toward restoring and creating better educational opportunities and creative cultural efforts can ultimately their country and the world at large.

OUR WORK

Our work has provided scholarships, grants to individuals and to educational, church, social and cultural institutions, as well as for humanitarian and other endeavors. We also provide grants for special one-time projects. We do not fund: capital campaigns or improvements, medical research, event sponsorships, political campaigns.

ОUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM From its inception the Studenica Foundation has awarded scholarships for university studies mostly to students in Serbia. We have also distributed scholarships to students in Montenegro and Bosnia and Hercegovina. And since 2010 in partnership with Serbian Economic Association “Privrednik” in Zagreb scholarships also went to Serbian students in Croatia.

We now have the Studenica Regional Scholarship Program that allows donors to target their donation to a specific country: Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia &

Studenica scholarships are only granted to those who are in their last two years of undergraduate studies. Post-graduate students may apply but priority is given to undergraduates.

In addition to supporting the publishing of books, studies an manuscripts by others, Studenica Foundation has originated and published its own works.

LITERARY CONTESTS

The Studenica Foundation awards grants to both individuals and institutions for various cultural, educational, scientific, humanitarian and religious heritage projects. We strive to advance the founders’ belief that education is the guiding principle for future recovery, prosperity, peace and stability in Serbia and the region best achieved through meritocracy and democracy.

Grants may be awarded in areas related to education, arts, history, sciences and culture and we have endorsed publication of books and the arts - visual, dance, music and films.
