HOW To Pack:
Checked Luggage CHECKING IN & PAYING ONLINE - WWW.DELTA.COM
Within 24 hours of your departure, you can tell Delta how many bags you will check and pay any fees quickly and easily online. That means
one less thing you will have to do at the airport. When you arrive at the airport, you can drop off your checked baggage at the nearest baggage
drop, marked with red "Baggage Drop" signage, or curbside check-in station (available within 6 hours of departure time). You may also check
your bags at the airport kiosk, ticket counter, or curbside.
If your bag exceeds weight or size limits, please review the Additional, Overweight, and Oversized Baggage section. You may also carry on one bag
and one small personal item at no charge. Visit our Carry-on Baggage section for more information. More restrictive baggage rules apply on some
flights operated by our Codeshare partners. (www.delta.com)
Fees for the first and second checked bags vary based on your flight destination. We've outlined them all here.
Weight limit: 50 lbs. (23 kg)
Size limit: 62 inches (157 cm) when you total length+width+height
Baggage charge: First bag is $25 USD, Second bag is $40 USD
Carryon Luggage
One bag. One item. No charge.
We know, you’ve probably heard it before, but just in case you need a reminder: you’re allowed one carry-on bag and one personal item at no
extra charge. Just make sure they fit into the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Cram sessions are not pretty — and they slow things
down. WHAT EXACTLY IS ALLOWED?
Approved Personal Items
1 purse, briefcase, camera bag or diaper bag
or 1 laptop computer (computers cannot be checked)
or 1 item of a similar or smaller size to those listed above
Additional Approved Items
The following items do not count as personal items (they’re freebies):
A jacket or umbrella
Food or drink purchased after clearing the security checkpoint
Duty-free merchandise
Special items like strollers, child restraint seats or assistive devices such as wheelchairs or crutches
It won’t fit. Three words you don’t want to hear when trying to board. To avoid delays and possible checked bag fees, follow these size requirements:
Baggage may not exceed 45 linear inches (or 114 cm) in combined length, width and height, including any handles and wheels
Baggage must fit easily in the Carry-on Baggage Check (approximately 22" x 14" x 9" or 56 x 35 x 23 cm), which is located near the
check-in counters
Passengers traveling on Delta Connection flights, and only those flights with fifty (50) seats or less, are only permitted to carry personal items on
board the aircraft due to limited overhead space. Personal items must be able to fit securely under the seat in front of the passenger. All carry-on
bags within Delta's size restrictions will be gate checked, free of charge, during the boarding process and returned upon deplaning. Please ensure
that a pink Gate Claim/Planeside tag is securely attached to the carry-on item. Assistive devices are not subject to this restriction.
If you need information about items such as knitting needles or razors, please consult the TSA website.

3-1-1 Liquids Rule
You are allowed to bring one small bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes through the checkpoint. These are limited to 3.4 ounces or less
per container. Consolidating these containers in the small bag separate from your carry-on baggage enables TSA officers to screen them quickly.
3-1-1 for carry-ons. Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear,
plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. The bag limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.
Be prepared. Each time a TSA officer stops to physically screen a carry-on bag, it slows down the line. Practicing the 3-1-1 rule will facilitate the
checkpoint experience.
Declare larger liquids. Medications, baby formula/food and breast milk are allowed in reasonable quantities exceeding three ounces, and they don’t
have to be in the zip-top bag. Declare these items for inspection at the checkpoint. TSA officers may need to open them for additional screening.
If in doubt, put your liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes in checked baggage.
Inbound international flights
You may now carry liquids more than 100 mL in your carry-on bag if:
You are traveling internationally into the United States with a connecting flight;
they are in transparent containers;
you bought them at a duty-free shop, and
the store packed them in a secure, tamper-evident bag.
If your liquids are not in a secure, tamper-evident bag, you must pack them in your checked bag.
If the liquids alarm during screening, we will need to screen them further.Key Travel Ti
WHAT To Pack: ATTIRE:
For travel days, Thursday and Sunday, you are asked to wear
jeans and your Concert Choir pullover. This helps us identify
you in the airports, represents our group with pride, and
lessens the need to pack additional clothing for a day!!
For Friday, you will need to dress “sophisticated casual.” This
means you should look classy and professional, but be able to make it through the long day. Ladies – we
suggest not wearing high heels for these days! Also keep in mind that on Friday, we will robe up (see robe
attire below). Also, at the end of Friday’s event, we will head straight to the Balboa Pier!
For Saturday, we will be at Universal Studios all day! Dress comfortably for walking and play – but always
keep it appropriate! Do not wear shoes that will give you blisters. Keep in mind rides, etc.
There should be enough time to swim at the hotel on two evenings. Bring your swimsuits if you wish!
ROBE ATTIRE
LADIES: Skirts or dresses with tan/nude legs. Please remember close toed black FLATS.
Also, no large hair accessories or earrings while robed.
GENTLEMEN: Black dress pants, black dress socks, black dress shoes. No exceptions.
STUDENTS WILL BE PACKING THEIR OWN ROBES IN THEIR SUITCASE! LEAVE ROOM!

CELL PHONES/ELECTRONIC DEVICES:
These items are all allowed on the trip, but must always be used appropriately. Students are responsible for
their own items. We cannot be held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen devices.
Cell phones will be collected for performance and rehearsal venues, but promptly returned for each break so
you can snap photos, text, Tweet and Snapchat to your hearts delight.
MONEY:
Breakfast is provided each morning, but students are responsible for their own lunch and dinner costs.
Money for shopping, souvenirs/keepsakes is up to family discretion.
WHAT NOT TO BRING:
Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, clothing with offensive logos or language, or anything else in violation of
regular school policy… If you can’t bring it or wear it to school, you can’t bring it or wear it on our trip.
RULES of BEHAVIOR: Code of Conduct You are participating in this festival as individual musicians, as
representatives of Roosevelt High School and as representatives of
Sioux Falls, SD. It is very important that your conduct be a credit to
you and our school. For this reason, the following regulations will be
in effect:
Smoking or use of tobacco in any form is PROHIBITED.
NO possession or use of alcoholic beverages or drugs.
Use respectful language!
Everyone will be expected to be in their own rooms at announced
curfew times after we return to the hotel each working evening, with
lights out and quiet at the time designated by directors/chaperones. It
is essential that all musicians have a good night’s rest to insure a
good rehearsal, performance and behavior.
No boys in girls’ rooms and no girls in boys’ rooms. PERIOD.
Damage to hotel property will not be tolerated. Any costs
associated with damage will be paid by student/family.
Appropriate behavior is also expected on the flights and the motor
coach. Students are to abide by airline and bus safety rules.
It is expected that you will take pride in your own behavior and that
of your fellow students. Students who break these rules will be
sent home at their expense – and in our case, because we have no
extra chaperones to send with them, parents will be called to
come and get them. Travel arrangements and cost of both parent
and student is the responsibility of the family. This is the District
Activity Code and will be enforced.
