Company Overview

York International was established following the acquisition of Axis in December 2012. This business was founded in 1996 by a group of like-minded individuals who wished to offer a more clearly focused range of services. Their philosophy was to provide a professionally led solution to claims and risk management.

While we continue to focus upon loss adjusting as our core business, we also provide a variety of services including surveying and auditing. This combined skill set means that we can operate in a variety of industries including commercial property, power generation, leisure, heavy industry, construction, contractors and plant.

We have offices and associations throughout the world and pride ourselves upon the quality of our professional staff that are amongst the best qualified and most experienced in their fields.

Effective communication is paramount and we recognize that the most effective solutions will result from open discussion and close collaboration which, in turn, will lead to a speedier and more commercial solution. In essence, we regards ourselves as an integral extension of your team.

Geographical Locations - our main locations comprise UK & Europe / Latin America / Caribbean / Middle East / Far East & USA

UK & EUROPEWorking from offices in London we handle both UK and Worldwide assignments. The technical staff are highly qualified not only in adjusting but other disciplines such as engineering and surveying. London also acts as a focal point for instructions, providing a guide for our regional adjusters, technical input where needed and quality control. As a result we have in recent times been engaged with projects across the globe including, Middle East, Pakistan, India, Honduras, West Africa & Lithuania.

LATIN AMERICAHistorically the Caribbean and Latin America have always been key locations for the company, remaining constant through catastrophe and non catastrophe situations. We have offices throughout the region: In Mexico we have offices in Mexico City, Monterrey & Cancun; in Central America we have offices in El Salvador and an associate in Panama. In South America we have offices in Colombia, Peru, Argentina and Chile.

CARIBBEANWe have offices in Jamaica and Trinidad, with Miami acting as the regional headquarters. Additionally we have associates in Barbados and Grand Cayman.

USAWith the acquisition by York we are now able to provide significant resource in USA with over 85 offices and 150 adjusters. York also acquired the BCJ energy business, which with a strong reputation for on and offshore energy provides us with additional resource Worldwide.

MIDDLE EASTWith our office based in Saudi Arabia, we are able to provide our services through out the Middle East and North Africa. Whether it be loss adjusting, engineering or risk surveys.

FAR EAST & AUSTRALASIAThrough a mixture of associates and an owned office we are able to provide property, power / energy and casualty expertise. The various bases support our multinational accounts, reinsurers and local market clients.

As mentioned, our policy is to staff the offices with experienced adjusters and to develop a younger generation of adjusters who will benefit from their association with their more senior peers. This enables both succession planning for the company and continuity in service to instructing insurers with whom York has given a long term commitment.
