• Conclusion: Alternative 3 upholds both the rights of consumers to privacy and website companies to generate profit. Website companies can collect, use, and disclose data up to the limit set forth by the individual consumers, which should be strictly enforced by governing bodies. For this reason, Alternative 3 is the best choice as far as Rights Principle of Ethics is concerned.

Alternative According to Justice and Fairness

1. Collect all information . Not fair because this was done without the people’s knowledge or consent. People are not aware that some of the things that they’d rather keep really private, like personal emails and passwords are being leaked into the internet and into databases of companies.

2. Do not collect, store, and monitor use of data

– Social media will be at a standstill if companies are not allowed to store any information. This would not be fair for everyone because there are also legitimate benefits to information sharing.

3. Empower users with the ability to control their privacy settings and push for privacy monitoring legislation.

- Users will be reassured that the use of data by companies is also being regulated by the government. This is just fair to the users because at least they are fully aware that whatever information they upload on the internet is something that they are aware of .
