Welcome to the Lotus Equestrian Winter Show Series! This year has been a very different and uncertain one in the world, and the

show world is no different. Safety of our riders, staff and trainers is of utmost importance to me, and strict adherence to local officials regulations, and the governor’s executive order will be in place. No person will be allowed on site without following our covid guidelines.

This series is a continuation of a great indoor schooling show series that has more for the exhibitors than most rated shows. I’m so excited to be able to bring that to you. With the help of the fine folks at the Lotus Equestrian Center, we are bringing high quality schooling shows to Long Valley.

This year, we have some of the best prizes in horse showing! Fantastic prizes and beautiful ribbons for our class and division winners. Our top point rider from the overall series of shows will receive a Voltaire saddle! What about the trainers that coach and guide our riders to success? The high point trainer from the series will receive a catered cocktail party for 12 with a professional chef! (When we can safely gather again)

RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS: ︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎1. HUNTER CLASS: Hunter classes will be judged based on performance and soundness. Any additional specifications will be noted. ︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎ 2. HUNTER CHAMPIONSHIPS: The Championship and Reserve Ribbons will be awarded to two of the four horses which have acquired the most points performing over a regulation hunter course.. In addition to these points, only these four horses shall receive points for ribbons won in an under saddle class. 3. JUMPER CLASS: For all ties other than first place, time will decide. ︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎ 4. NUMBERS: No numbers will be given out without full payment of entry fees, all required signatures, valid phone number, and all other required information on the entry blank. 5. PRIZE MONEY: Checks must be cashed within 30 days or will not be honored. 6. HUNTER COURSES: Courses may include brush, coops, in and out, stone wall, log, gates, and will be posted at the in-gate at least one hour prior to each class. The Committee reserves the right to change the obstacles or vary the courses at their discretion. 7. SCHOOLING: Back numbers must be worn to school. Schooling will be permitted only in the areas provided by the committee and only over practice jumps therein. Unauthorized schooling in any ring or outside course at any time, except those times designated by the committee expressly for the purpose of schooling, will be cause of dismissal from the show grounds. 8. CANCEL/COMBINE: The committee reserves the right to cancel, to combine or to divide any class or classes in the best interest of the show. BUSINESS: During the time of judging, no person shall be allowed in the ring except on official business. ︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎︎ 10. DISCOURTESY: Any discourtesy or disobedience to the judges or officials on the part of an owner, rider, or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall forfeit his/her entry and other fees. 11. ATTIRE: Exhibitors must be in the proper riding attire and wear protective headgear which conform to USEF GR801. 12. CHECKS: A processing fee of $75.00 will be made for all non-negotiable checks. Any returned checks not “made good” within 10 days will be refused from participating in future Four Seasons events. 13. DOGS: No dogs allowed at Lotus Equestrian Center. Please leave your dogs home. 14. RESPONSIBILITY: Lotus Equestrian Center will, in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur. It shall be a condition of entry to the show grounds that these rules and regulations be read, understood, and accepted. Additionally each exhibitor shall hold Lotus Equestrian Center harmless for any illness, loss or accident which may occur by fire or otherwise. 15. CLOSEOUT SERVICE: Too busy to close out your entries? Any entry that is not closed out within 1/2 hour after the end of the show will automatically be enrolled in the service at a cost of $25. COVID-19 Protocols: All exhibitors, participants, and grooms are required to comply with the COVID-19 protocols as defined by the Horse Show. All entrants will be screened daily upon entry to the horse show. All entrants will be required to wear a face mask that covers their nose and mouth at all times, unless mounted on a horse. Anyone who exhibits COVID-19 symptoms or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last two weeks, cannot enter the competition grounds. Participants are required to self-monitor their temperature once daily prior to entering the competition grounds. The gate will be attended, anyone with a temperature reading below 99.5 degrees F may enter the facility.

This agreement release the Lotus Equestrian Winter Show Series, show vendors and/or their directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from all liability or claims of every nature relating to any/all risks that may occur while attending the Lotus Equestrian Winter Show Series. By signing this agreement, I agree, for myself and behalf of my family, spouse, estate, heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, personal representatives, and an minor over whom I have custody or control or serve as guardian (collectively “I”) to hold the Lotus Equestrian Winter Show Series and all other listed above entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibilities for injuries, sickness or death incurred, regardless of whether injuries or sickness are caused by negligence or otherwise.

I also acknowledge the risks involved include, but are not limited to, the potential spread of COVID-19 that could result in severe illness or potential wealth. I am participating voluntarily and am aware of an assumed any and all risk associated with my participation. I will practice social distancing as recommended by health department directives, good hygiene (hand washing, hand sanitizer, mask/gloves when required) and follow all other health and safety directives.

I do not have any conditions that will increase my likelihood of contracting COVID-19. I also do not have a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19. Should I become ill, whether before or after attendance at any show, I understand I am required to report the illness, self-quarantine and will adhere to testing and other illness related guidelines.
