President’s Report
Welcome to Spring!
September is going to be a busy month! As you know, we are eagerly anticipating Blithe Spirit. This is going to be a fantastic show – great cast, talented director and you know it will be a fabulous set! Get your tickets now, and organise to Bring a Friend who may not have experienced live theatre before (or bring your friends who you already know LOVE theatre!).
We can certainly use your help to spread the word about this fantastic production… word of mouth is one of the most powerful forms of promotion – so please tell your friends, family and workmates!
This month we will also have Auditions for our final show for the year – A Christmas Carol directed by Christine Scott. This will also be a wonderful show to be involved in… so I hope to see you at the auditions!
We are also putting the final touches to our 2018 program… which will be announced at our Season Launch in early October. I hope to see you there. This is also a perfect opportunity to bring along a friend!
You may have noticed the theme for this month (and until the end of the year) is ‘Bring a Friend’. Bring a Friend encourages current TLT members to bring a friend along to a TLT event who may not have been involved with or experienced live theatre before… By coming with someone they know the new person will be at ease, and may also consider joining TLT and participating in other events and activities…
So remember…
Cheers, Jacinta

PRESENTS
THE LAUNCH of its 2018 Programme A YEAR OF FUN, SMILES AND CHUCKLES
WITH FOUR MAJOR PLAYS FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT
To start the season in March we offer a twisted, fourth-wall-breaking, whodunit/spoof: a play that turns the murder-mystery genre on its head, directed by Anne Coombe & Eric Blyth.
The Short Season of Short Plays will again take place at St Margaret Mary’s Theatrette late April. And Christine Scott will be producing PLAYBOX throughout the year during school holidays.
Next, in June/July popular director Alan Cooke is presenting an 80s cult favourite with a preponderance of male roles.
Director, Sonia Zabala, will present an hilarious and frantic version of a spell-binding thriller in September.
Lastly, Director/Writer Teri Thorne asks us to find out what banana splits, short circuits and sexual starvation have in common. This production will take place late November/early December.
