Tupak
This 6 year old boy is a delight. He’s so relaxed and chilled, he’s just a joy to be around.
He walks well on his lead and has no problem going for long walks with other dogs. Tupak wants to please and is really affectionate
Tupak would be an amazing addition to a very lucky family and would give them so much love. Why not visit him and see for yourselves. Tupak is 59cm from neck to tail and 56cm floor to shoulder. As with all of our UnderDogs he is neutered, micro chipped and fully vaccinated. This lovely boy is good with other dogs and older children due to his size.

Yet another busy month for the Love UnderDogs team. We brought over 30 dogs and a cat earlier in the month. They have settled well and many have already gone to their forever homes. We’ve also seen some of our wonderful old timers like Dino and Duncan find amazing homes.
We launched the Emergency Appeal for food and vaccines and true to form you have risen to the occasion and the response has been amazing – thank you.
Our Christmas Cards and Calendars are flying out. We think you will love them – try them………all the details are on page 2.
We are thrilled that we have rescue and rehomed 268 to date and counting..........
“I need a Forever Home please”
Telo is a 9 year old boy who has spent a long time in shelters. He has adapted well to life at Glebe farm but it really is his turn to find that sofa to cuddle up on and someone who cares.
He is spotless in his kennel, enjoys short walks and then likes to snooze for a while. Telo has discovered tennis balls and just adores them; it’s so lovely that he’s learnt to play!

Less than 2 months ago this gorgeous little girl was living in the shelter in Brasov. Now she’s living the good life with Natalie and Samuel.
Lewis on the right was adopted over a year ago and has never looked back. Living with Annelies and her other dogs seems to agree with him. She tells us he is the calmest, most loving, content dog and everyone adores him.
Teddy went off to his forever home in April of this year and Corin his new Mum wrote ” Thank you so much for giving us this great opportunity to make one little life a whole lot better and in doing so we have so much joy and love in return x”
Polly settled into her forever home with Janet and her husband last year. She adores her family and Janet wrote: “Thank you for changing our lives and keep up the good work”.
The beautiful Lola (left) moved in with Jayne, her family and tiny Button (right) last month. These girls look so alike it’s uncanny. They adore each and are completely inseparable.

‘Emergency Help’ Appeal
We launched our ‘Emergency Help’ Appeal to help our partners AMP cope with the current stray dog crisis in Romania. AMP are expecting an influx of over 300 dogs in the coming weeks at the City Pound and their Shelter, where they already have 600+ residents.
In order to help them in the best way possible we are appealing for funds to purchase the basics for these dogs.
News up date
The Romanian government has recently passed a law allowing pounds to legally euthanize dogs after 14 days if they cannot care for them, either for medical reasons, lack of space or lack of resources and food, this is a right not an obligation. For Love UnderDogs and AMP working in Brasov, this is a battle we are determined to win. We are working very successfully with the Mayor of Brasov, George Scripcaru and this has enabled us to employ a member of the team to manage the welfare of the dogs at the city pound.
To support their work and ensure there is no need to euthanize we are appealing for food and vaccines.

Dog obesity.......a growing problem here in the UK
Research conducted by the PFMA (Pet Food Manufacturers Association), reveals that nearly half of the pets seen by vets are overweight.

The PDSA has stated more dogs face arthritis, diabetes and heart disease because they are fed too many treats and astonishingly - fast foods including takeaways, crisps and cakes! They go on to say that coupled with little or no exercise these dogs’ lives are being cut short.

If you look at the drawing below the dog has a clear waistline, when you look from the side the tummy should be tucked up towards it’s back legs. Crucially you should be able to feel the last 2 or 3 ribs. If you’re not sure do seek the advice of your vet.
Whether you feed wet or dry food there are always clear guidelines as to how much to feed your dog. Having spoken to many dog owners with overweight pooches, they tell us they feel mean when giving their dogs smaller portions……you are not, you are actually being very kind.
Vets advise that we don’t give our dogs snacks but if you want to - make it healthy – carrots, apples, watermelon. Just like us they benefit from fresh fruits and vegetables.
If you have any queries please see your vet and remember our dogs are just like us, they need a healthy diet, preferably no snacks - if you do give a snack, make it a healthy one and lots of exercise.

The Love UnderDogs Legacy Programme
Writing a Will is a topic that so many of us shy away from but Love UnderDogs are asking you to take just a moment and consider how important it is to make a will. First and foremost it gives you the opportunity to ensure that your savings and possessions go to the people you care about most. How Gift Aid works
The Gift Aid scheme is for gifts of money by individuals who pay UK tax. Gift Aid donations are regarded as having basic rate tax deducted by the donor. Charities take your donation - which is money you've already paid tax on - and reclaim the basic rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on its 'gross' equivalent - the amount before basic rate tax was deducted.
