Boston and Supermicro have worked together for many years to create the industry’s most power efficient solutions whilst still maintaining performance leadership. Drawing on technologies from our other product ranges and complementing our existing range of Green Power solutions, Boston are proud to announce our Green Power 2200-T compute server. Ideal for datacentres and cloud computing installations, the Boston Green Power 2200-T packages eight high-performance, ultra-low power, Intel Atom-based compute nodes within a single 2U rackmount enclosure. Each of the 8 nodes are based around the latest Intel Atom D525 processor and are coupled with up to 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM. Storage needs are fulfilled by 3 x 2.5” drives bays (per node) supporting both SATA HDDs and SSDs. Seriously Reduce Your Server Costs To ease maintenance and future upgrades, each pair of nodes are mounted in hot-pluggable canisters which can be removed and installed at any point without impacting the operation of the remaining nodes. Also, to improve performance and reliability, the entire solution is cable free internally. Remote system management and health monitoring are achieved using industry standard IPMI hardware coupled with supplied software, a web GUI or a customer’s choice of IPMI compliant software. For maximum uptime whilst reducing energy consumption, the Green Power 2200-T comes with a redundant 720W PSU system with a class leading 93% efficiency rating.
