The grounds provide a haven for wildlife such as otter anddeer, and there is a variety of birdlife which can frequently beseen enjoying the river, including geese, kingfishers andherons. There are brown trout in the ponds, as well as carp.Throughout the land are a number of paths and rides whichcan be used for riding over the land or for walks down to andalong the river and through the woodland. The tributary of theLittle Dart River runs into a deep lake, and to the east of theproperty is a delightful grassed walk, which leads to the lakesand a picturesque waterfall with a wooden bridge over.

The land consists mainly of well-sized paddocks of permanentpasture with pockets of mature woodland, and many fineoaks. There are no public footpaths or rights of way acrossthe land. Views of Dartmoor can be seen from the fields.
