Topic : What Is in My Classroom

Content Standard(s) : 1.1 Pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with

the correct stress, rhythm and intonation.

Learning Standard(s) :

1.1.1 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs with guidance.

1.1.2 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance.

Objectives :

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to sing songs and point at least six objects in

the classroom while singing.

Activities :

1. Teacher shows the actual object in the classroom.

2. ‘Pointing Game’ – teacher says words while pupils point at it.

3. ;Pick and Say Game’ – pupils pick a picture card and say the word.

4. Teacher sings a song.5. Pupils pointing to the objects while singing a song.

6. Pupils answer match pictures to words questions.

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to match 10 words to the pictures correctly.

1. Flashcards – Guessing Game

3. Matching word cards to picture cards correctly.

Objectives :

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to write 10 words of object correctly and

neatly.

Activities :

1. Pupils sing together the song which they learn in Day 1 ‘oh My Classroom’.

2. ‘Teacher shows a picture of a classroom (LCD) and ask pupils point/show the hidden

objects.

3. Pupils colour the hidden objects found in the picture.

4. Write down the objects that they coloured in step 3.
