DANIEL KITSON Everyone you have ever known will die.And so will you.

And yet we dance in the loomingshadows of mortality, we dance and wetalk and we eat and we argue. We readbooks. We care for people. We buyhouses. We plant trees and we start todrive and we learn how to make milkfrothy. Because something, somewherein the middle of it all has to matter. Asour seconds and minutes and days slipby, something has to be important. Andwho are we to giggle and point andsneer at what others have found to careabout? Who is to say what is beneathus, what is not worthy of our hearts?

Everybody needs something to holdwhen it gets dark, so who am I, whoare any of us, to point at anything andcall it facile or redundant or stupid orrubbish?

Even when it quite clearly is.

A new stand up show about findingsomething important in an ocean oftwaddle.
