•Many people are traumatised because of the things they have experienced or seen•Women are having unwanted pregnancies•People are moving into the centres of the town- placing stress on the land, food and medicine available•Due to the lack of food many people are experiencing malnutrition•Some in the host community resent the fact that the displaced people are there, causing tensions between the two groups•People are fearing to return to their homes because there is still insecurity•Those who do return home have nothing left with which to rebuild their lives•Children are not attending school due to the trauma they have faced and because there is a lack of resources
