The new OPD and Surgical Complex which now houses andprovides a comfortable waiting area with proper facilities, screening, refraction, consultant rooms, a new major and minoroperation theatre, biometry and a dispensary is in its final stagesof completion. New residences have also been built for bothmarried and unmarried doctors. This project has been possiblethrough generous funding by our donor in UAE. In addition tothis project, PWTD approved construction of new residences forour doctors in the hospital which are also ready now foroccupation. A canteen has also been added for comfort of thepatients who previously had to go outside in order to have a meal.
LRBT Odigram Hospital
Construction work is moving at a fast pace and good progresshas been made both in the construction of the hospital buildingand the doctors residential blocks. The shell of the hospital hasbeen completed and further work i.e. brick masonry, plastering, flooring, plumbing, electrical works are now underway.Completion of this project is expected in the third quarter of thisyear. We would then be vacating our present rented premises atSaidu Sharif. This project is being financed by PIDSA and PARRSAfor an amount of Rs. 58 Million while the rest Rs. 10 million andRs 1 million are being borne by Mr. Usman Paracha and The InfaqFoundation respectively.
LRBT Arifwala Hospital
In order to make this hospital attractive for doctors who arereluctant to proceed for postings to small towns, an additionalaccommodation was required to be added to the already existingresidences as the present accommodation was insufficient. Thiswould enable LRBT to optimally utilize their professional servicesas they would be available in the premises of the Hospital.Construction work was completed in February 2013.
