THE PURPOSE

“Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and

over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on

the earth. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He

created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them,

and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it;

have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over

every living thing that moves on the earth.“

EVERY CHRISTIAN IS CALLED TO LEAD

God created every men to lead; (God blessed them…)

He promises His blessing

Green Light! GOOOOOOO!!!

Here, this is what’s up!

You’re going to be successful…

If He called you He will support you

(Tree of life, Israelites (enslaved), Jesus…)

God wants men to exert His authority (fill the earth and subdue it…)

Subdue: Overcome; bring under control

“We know we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil

one.”

- 1 John 5:19

“…greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”

- 1 John 4:4

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has

overcome the world our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes

that Jesus is the Son of God.”

- 1 John 5:4-5




God wants men to exert His authority (fill the earth and subdue it…)

Be in it but not of it

John 17:11-26




God allows men to use His authority (So God created man in His own image…)

“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us…”

- 2 Corinthians 5:20

Ambassadors: accredited person sent by a country as its official representative

King of kings, Lord of lords (Revelation 19:16).

Jesus is Lord, even to those who did not “accept.” If you want it or not…

At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and

of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will doalso; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

He gave us power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sentus to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.Luke 9:1

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely youreceived, freely you give. Matthew 10:8




So God wants men to rule (have dominion over …)

Dominion: sovereignty; control, supreme power or authority.

Other Bible version “Rule over”

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special

people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into

His marvelous light” - 1 Peter 2:9 (see also verse 10)

Priest: ordained minister having authority to perform certain duties.

Duties:

• Intercede

• Brought God’s presence

• Brought God’s word

• Mediators (you wanted to consult God you went to the priests)

• God’s voice, God’s hands



SUMMARY

• God will bless when you lead according to His purpose

• The image (likeness) produces dominion. (the image is the expression)

• Royal Priesthood (you’ll exert authority of a king when you’re a good

priest)

How:

1. Obedience (Levites)

2. Servant-hood

3. Intimate relationship (God, others)



5 LEVELS OF LEADERSHIP

Level 1: Position

Level 2: Permission

Level 3: Production

Lever 4: Development of People

Lever 5: Personal Maturity



LEVEL 1: POSITION

• Basic level of access to leadership.

• The only influence this leader has is due to a position (title) entrusted to him.

• People do not follow this type of leader beyond his reach of authority.

Keep climbing the steps (levels) of leadership……



LEVEL 2: PERMISSION

"Leadership is making people work for you even when they are not obligated."

“People do not care what you know until they know how much you care.”

“Leadership begins in the heart not in the head.”

• leads by the respect gained through relationships.

• Have gained their heart.

• Gained authority.

“ You can love people without leading them, but cannot lead people without loving

them.“

At this level the leaders time, energy, and concentration (in other words, investments) are

focused on the needs and desires of the individual.



LEVEL 3: PRODUCTION

You start seeing results of your work.

FRUITS

• People are committing to Christ and to the Church

• New level of respect; not only character and integrity, but also fruits

• Disciples



LEVEL 4: DEVELOPMENT OF PEOPLE

Now your fruits (disciples) are also bearing fruits.

• Accepted Jesus (Fruit of repentance) and

committed to Him.

• They’re expressing His character, His image,

(fruits of righteousness).

• They’re bringing people to Christ.



LEVER 5: PERSONAL MATURITY

• You inspire others outside of your own reach of authority.

• Reach of influence has grown.

• You became an example of leadership resulted from a long time of perseverance.

• People are loyal to you.

• People want to imitate you.

• Your greatest joy is to observe your leaders growing and multiplying.

1 Corinthians 11:1:

IMITATE ME, JUST AS I ALSO IMITATE CHRIST
