    By activating the feature Coverage-Triggered WCDMA Session Continuity thecreation and transmission of SIB6in the eNB is enabled.

    SIB6 contains information and parameters required by the UE toperform idle mode reselection to the WCDMA network.

    No need to define specific WCDMA cells Neighbor List.

    WCDMA To LTE Cell Reselectio n Idle Mode

    In order to allow WCDMA to LTE cell reselection (idle mode) thefollowing feature should be activated in the RNC:

    LTE Cell Reselection (FAJ 121 1474) - eutran detection, EutranFreqRelationMO parameters.

    By activating the feature creation and transmission of SIB19in theWCDMA nodeB is enabled.

    SIB19contains information and parameters required by the UE toperform idle mode reselection to the LTE network.

    No need to define specific LTE cells Neighbor List and no need toreconsider WCDMA already existing neighbors.

    Cell reselection to LTE is supported by E-UTRA capable UEs in IdleMode and in URA_PCH.

    WCDMA To LTE Release With Re-Direct Connected Mode

    In order to allow WCDMA to LTE release with redirection in connectedmode, the following feature should be activated in the RNC:

    Release with Redirect to LTE (FAJ 121 2174) releaseRedirect Parameter. Release with Redirect to LTE (FAJ 121 2174) is a complement to LTE

    Cell Reselection.

    It ensures mobility to LTE for an active UE that spends little time inIdle Mode or in state URA_PCH where LTE Cell Reselection can beperformed.

    It is a blind redirection, fast and without compressed mode.There is no pre-allocation of resources in the target LTE system.

    Release with Redirect to LTE is not supported when the best cell islocated in DRNC.
