among the highest in the world. Altaire Torres 1 and 2 will be anchored by 100 concrete piles which
penetrate at the 25 m zone and lead to a firmer ground to absorb seismic shocks. The Towers have

Project Description:
The Cancun Airport is the second busiest airport in Mexico. Its was renovated to integrate its two se-
parate structures into one and to further capitalize on the booming tourist trade along the Mayan Ri-
viera.
The exterior white concrete facade was extended along with the two upper floors thereby creating offi-
ce space for both airport authorities and employees. The front façade was then integrated into the
plan utilizing a long, white, galvanized aluminum wing.

Client: The Boelter Companies
The “ Boelter Superstore ” was envisioned and refined within a renovated 1960 ’ s era warehouse
with over 360 feet of street frontage. The warehouse had been an eyesore, occupying a prominent
location within a former industrial area now enjoying a renaissance as a class A office park. In keep-
ing with the objective that the showroom be transparent to pedestrian and vehicular traffic, a large
portion of the existing concrete block façade was removed and replaced with a projecting glazed cur-
tain wall featuring floor to ceiling clear glass which floods the showroom and offices with natural light
and ensures that the catalog of Boelter products are introduced and advertised to passing traffic on
the busy street outside.

Casa Leon Felipe is located in San Angel Inn in the Southern part of Mexico City. The building facade
was designed to adhere to historic and strict design guidelines for the area. In keeping with local
design, the brick of the facade is coursed to match the adjacent buildings. The 10 x 10 m plot posed
interesting design constraints, including a first level patio as the main garden space. A central
lightwell organizes the geometry of the house from the first to third floors.
