Jennifer served as adjunct faculty at Harford Community College for several semesters, teaching courses in PHIL 101 Introduction to Philosophy and PHIL 205 Ethics. Although she taught at HCC several years ago, I remember her outstanding performance very well. Clearly, she is an excellent scholar and instructor in every regard, and I can give her my complete endorsement. She is extremely well-versed in philosophy. In conversation, Jennifer exhibits a keen ability in philosophy, and her commitment and insight are impressive. She is a committed and excellent scholar. I have observed Jennifer’s class, and her skill as an instructor is also excellent. She makes extensive use of her impressive background to create highly interesting and informative class presentations. This ability indeed creates an exciting and enriching experience for her students. Student evaluations are always extremely favorable, frequently citing her philosophical acumen, and her enthusiasm for the discipline. As a teacher, Jennifer also shows a strong commitment to her students. She clearly cares about the growth of each student, and she has great success in interesting and motivating the members of his class. Her enthusiasm for both her discipline and her students’ progress is contagious, and ignites students to become enthusiastic about the issues she entertains in class. In sum, Jennifer is a most impressive instructor for us at Harford, and I believe she will be a significant asset to whatever college has the good fortune to hire her. I can recommend her completely. If you have any further questions, please contact me at your convenience. Sincerely, Gary Owens, Ph.D. Program Director Philosophy and Religious Studies

Letter of Recommendation: Jennifer Torgerson

To Whom It May Concern:

I write to lend my most enthusiastic endorsement to Jennifer Torgerson for teaching positions at the

college level.

Jennifer served as adjunct faculty at Harford Community College for several semesters, teaching

courses in PHIL 101 Introduction to Philosophy and PHIL 205 Ethics. Although she taught at HCC

several years ago, I remember her outstanding performance very well. Clearly, she is an excellent

scholar and instructor in every regard, and I can give her my complete endorsement.

She is extremely well-versed in philosophy. In conversation, Jennifer exhibits a keen ability in

philosophy, and her commitment and insight are impressive. She is a committed and excellent

scholar.

I have observed Jennifer’s class, and her skill as an instructor is also excellent. She makes extensive

use of her impressive background to create highly interesting and informative class presentations.

This ability indeed creates an exciting and enriching experience for her students. Student

evaluations are always extremely favorable, frequently citing her philosophical acumen, and her

enthusiasm for the discipline.

As a teacher, Jennifer also shows a strong commitment to her students. She clearly cares about the

growth of each student, and she has great success in interesting and motivating the members of his

class. Her enthusiasm for both her discipline and her students’ progress is contagious, and ignites

students to become enthusiastic about the issues she entertains in class.

In sum, Jennifer is a most impressive instructor for us at Harford, and I believe she will be a

significant asset to whatever college has the good fortune to hire her. I can recommend her

completely. If you have any further questions, please contact me at your convenience.

Sincerely,

Gary Owens, Ph.D.
