How to use the

Luas VI iPhone App

• Turn on Accessibility Voice Over function on your iPhone (if you

don’t have it turned on already)

– Open Settings

– Select General

– Select Accessibility

– Switch Voice Over from “Off” to “On”

Step 1 – Preparing Your iPhone

• Download the Free Luas VI App from iTunes (if you don’t have it

already

– On your iPhone open the App Store App

– Search Luas VI

– Hit Free button to download

– The Luas VI App will appear on your phone after a few minutes

Step 2 – Download the Free Luas VI App

• The first time you open the App it will open on the Choose Line

screen. This is the screen you use to find Luas Live Info.

– After the first time the App will open on the screen you had open when you

closed the app last time.

– There are 4 screens in the Luas VI App.

(Live Info)

Step 3 – Open the Luas VI App

• On the Choose Line screen select either Luas Red Line for Luas

Green Line – Open Luas Red Line (or Luas Green Line)

– Scroll down until you find the stop you want (Stops are listed from A-Z)

– Select the stop you want

– The App then brings up the Live Info page for that stop for you

Step 4 – Using Choose Line / Live Info

• Favourites allows you to quickly access Live Info for stops you

have saved.

– In the Live Info screen hit the Favourites button (located beside the Refresh

button)

– Open the Favourites screen

– Click on the stop you want

– The App will open then Live Info screen for that stop

Step 5 – Using Favourites

• Feedback allows Users to give feedback to the App developers

from within the App

– Open the Feedback Screen

– Rate the App from 1 Star (Bad) to 5 Stars (Good)

– Give your comments in the Your Comments box

– Select Send and your feedback is sent to the developers

Step 6 – Using Feedback

• Times give the User a list of the Operating Hours for Luas services.

– Open the Hours screen

– With Voiceover the App will read out the Operating Hours for the Green Line

followed by the Red Line

• Give these Tips & Tricks a try to get the best out of the Luas VI

iPhone App

– Refreshing Live Info - On the Live Info screen the Live Info data updates

every 10 seconds automatically but you can also update it manually by hitting

the Refresh button at the bottom of the screen.

– Favourite Live Info - Add stops you use regularly such as stop closest to

home, closest to shops, closest to work or study to Favourites. Then open

Favourites and hit the stop you want to get Live Info quicker.

– Switching Line – In Live Info screen you can switch to the other Luas line by

hitting the Select LUAS Line button at the top of the screen.
