MAY PROGRAM
For a chance to win Artist of the Month: Bring in an
Artwork Finished or in Progress and place your
name in the basket on the Refreshment Table.
May Meeting Refreshment Reminder
Lynette Kupferer and Katy Haas
You will receive a reminder call
Our May program will be Darlene Kuhne, who
will talk about drawing, primarily using geometric
shapes to draw the human body. Darlene made a
well-received presentation to MAG six or seven
years ago and so we are having her back. Please
bring a pencil or a pen (whatever) you feel most
comfortable with drawing. Paper will be provided
and we will most likely set up the room with
tables.
SURVEY:
We won’t use the camera and TV this time but we need to
know:
Do you like seeing most demos on the screen?
YES NO
The only other way is to crowd around the
demonstrator and take your chances being able to
see what’s happening. If you like the camera
please consider the Job Ad on Page 2 for
Photographer to help with the demonstrations
The Lucky Artist for the month
of April 2017 is Betty
Eggleston who brought in her
Alcohol Ink painting “Mother
Earth Forming” she put her
name in our basket and it was
chosen. Congratulations!
Betty came to Colorado in 2008 by way of
Hyannis, Nebraska where she grew up. She now
lives in Thornton and has 3 children and 8
grandchildren. Her oldest granddaughter, is Ashley
at Colorline/Doubletake who many of us know
because we deal with her to scan our work for
Digital Output.
Betty became interested in art in 3rd grade at
school. While she has no formal training in art she
has taken 3 or 4 workshops with professional
artists. She loves to experiment with different
mediums, one of which is the alcohol inks.
She joined MAG about a year ago and has been
an active participant in several of our sponsored
shows and she also participates in the SouthWest
Art Group.
