Luis Gomez Board Member Luis L. Gomez is a lifelong resident of the Edgewood School District where he attended Stafford Elementary, Escobar Middle and Edgewood High School. Luis has three children who attended and graduated from EISD schools where he participated in PTA and Band Booster. He also has 2 grandsons that have graduated from Kennedy School and 3 more currently attending EISD schools. Luis joined the US Marine Corp where he served as an Embassy Guard at the Embassy in Saigon Vietnam. Following his service in which he received numerous medals for his honorable service from the military Luis retired after 30 years as an Inspector for the City of San Antonio. After his retirement he owed a small remolding company for 10 years and did some consulting for various agencies. Presently Luis works for The Department of Homeland Security / FEMA. He is also an active member of VFW Post 76 (The Oldest Post in Texas), past Sr. Vice Commander, House Committee and Post Stewart and presently a Member of The Edgewood District Veterans Association. As a Trustee I’m thankful that our community has allowed me the privilege to serve our students and I vow with the help of our administration, staff and community alike we will make a difference for all the children in our district.

Luis L. Gomez is a lifelong resident of the Edgewood School District where he attended Stafford Elementary, Escobar Middle and Edgewood High School.
