• GRE Webmaster 2012-Present Collaborated with Emily Anderson, 2nd Grade Teacher, to maintain the GRE website and keep it current with up to date information to keep our families informed of current events and activities.

• LISD Discipline Task Force 2014-present Worked cooperatively to develop the Elementary Discipline Matrix used across the district. Currently we are researching alternative ways to approach discipline issues in an effort to lower disproportionate representation. Our most recent professional learning opportunity was Restorative Discipline Readiness Training for Administrators at ESC Region 11 on September 28th and 29th of 2014. Our committee’s work has resulted in district-wide revision in procedures of documenting discipline offenses and actions, effective in the 2015-16 school year.

• LISD Discipline Committee 2013-present Acted in conjunction with the committee to create the LISD Bullying investigation form utilized across the district. The creation of this form and accompanying resources has facilitated the ability of our district administrators to establish consistency and ensure thorough investigations and documentation.

• Garden Ridge Elementary Gator Tribute, 2013-present Created a Google Form used by faculty, parents, and students to recognize GRE staff members. This addition to our staff recognition practices has created an online avenue for parents to express their appreciation for teachers and staff at any time throughout the year.

• Facilitated 1st Grade West Zone Professional Development, Designing Vs. Planning Lessons, Spring 2012

Collaborated with teachers to design engaging lessons based on Schlechty’s 10 Design Qualities, which led to an increase in student choice and student ownership in profound learning.

• Led GRE iPad Professional Learning Communities, 2012-present This committee evolved from our campus Technology Committee, which I established in 2007. These committees focus on identifying effective ways to use technology in the classroom in order to increase student engagement and promote student ownership of learning.

• Collaborated in organizing West Zone Fun Run, October 2012 Worked collaboratively with West Zone leadership and community to raise funds for student iPads.

• Member of State/Local Partnership Action Team, Fall 2011 Worked in cooperation with team members to develop the LISD Strategic Design. The Strategic Design document has set into motion specific action steps and timelines as we transform our district into a 21st Century learning organization.

• Lifetime Member of PTA, November 2010 Continuous development of building and maintaining relationships with parents, students and faculty, creating a culture based on trust and teamwork in order to promote a school environment conducive to learning and student success.

• Leadership Academy Presenter, Summer 2010 Collaborated with administrators to illustrate how AWARE can be used as an effective tool to increase student achievement (Leadership Academy-2010). AWARE has since become a primary tool used by campus and district administrators to analyze student data.

• Campus Assessment and Curriculum Coordinator for 2nd and 3rd grades Increased passing rate to 80% of all English Reading TAKS for 3rd Grade, Spring 2007. This was more than a 10% increase from the previous year.

• Assistant Coordinator to Saturday Math Club Program Increased passing rate by 15% of students who were at risk to fail Math TAKS.

• Afternoon Clubs Coordinator Collaborated with faculty and parents to develop and implement an extracurricular club program on Wednesdays and started the Dance Club to enrich students’ cultural awareness at Central Elementary.
