Pastoral Prayer and Lord’s Prayer (pg. 895) Rev. Randall Haase Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Affirmation of Faith Apostle’s Creed Hymn 881
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of Confession Rev. Randall Haase
God of abundant love, fill us with your joy. Sprinkle the tears that we have sown with your mercy and hope, that we may reap a harvest of joy. Forgive our fears and our worries. Instill trust within us, that we may truly rest in your arms and have faith in your gracious care. Forgive us when we are seduced by the accumulation of things for which we have no need. Forgive us when we dream of wealth and prestige and forget that the necessities of life are enough. Remind us of the abundance you offer as we proclaim today and forever: “God has done great things for us. Our tears are turned into joy!” God of abundant love, fill us with your joy. We pray in the forgiving name of Jesus. Amen.
Words of Assurance Rev. Randall Haase
Indeed, God has done great things for us. Through Christ, God’s love and grace are restored in our lives and we are made whole yet again. Praise to God!

1 O Master, let me walk with thee in lowly paths of service free; tell me thy secret; help me bear the strain of toil, the fret of care. 2 Help me the slow of heart to move by some clear, winning word of love; teach me the wayward feet to stay, and guide them in the homeward way.
3 Teach me thy patience; still with thee in closer, dearer company, in work that keeps faith sweet and strong, in trust that triumphs over wrong. 4 In hope that sends a shining ray far down the future's broadening way, in peace that only thou canst give, with thee, O Master, let me live.
1 Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Thou art the potter, I am the clay. Mold me and make me after thy will, while I am waiting, yielded and still. 2 Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Search me and try me, Savior today! Wash me just now, Lord, wash me just now, as in thy presence humbly I bow. 3 Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Wounded and weary, help me I pray! Power, all power, surely is thine! Touch me and heal me, Savior divine! 4 Have thine own way, Lord! Have thine own way! Hold o'er my being absolute sway. Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see Christ only, always, living in me!
1 Pass me not, O gentle Savior, Hear my humble cry; While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by. Refrain: Savior, Savior, Hear my humble cry; While on others Thou art calling, Do not pass me by. 2 Let me at Thy throne of mercy Find a sweet relief; Kneeling there in deep contrition, Help my unbelief. Refrain
3 Trusting only in Thy merit, Would I seek Thy face; Heal my wounded, broken spirit, Save me by Thy grace. Refrain 4 Thou the spring of all my comfort, More than life to me, Whom have I on earth beside Thee? Whom in heav'n but Thee? Refrain
