Luke 2:8-9 (NIV)8 And there were shepherds
living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over
their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were
terrified.
Luke 2:10-11 (NIV)10 But the angel said to
them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of
great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has
been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:12-13 (NIV)12 This will be a sign to you:
You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13 Suddenly a
great company of the heavenly host appeared
with the angel, praising God and saying,
Luke 2:14 (NIV)
14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor
rests."
Q: Why did Jesus come at Christmas at the Light of
the World?A: Because we need a
Savior.

Q: Why do we need a Savior?
A: Because all of us have messed up.
Luke 2:8-14
Romans 3:23-24 (TLB)23 Yes, all have sinned; all
fall short of God’s glorious ideal;
24 yet now God declares us "not guilty" of offending him
if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely
takes away our sins.
Q: How do we trust in Jesus?
A: We accept Him as Lord and Savior.

your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from
the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are
justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and
are saved.

11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him
will never be put to shame."
