I have purchased between 40 and 50 “re-usable” plastic bags. The cost is between 1 to 4 dollars per bag. Friends of mine have become ill from re-
using plastic bags due to bacteria. I have also witnessed shoplifting in my home town. There is no way to stop
them, as plastic bags are allowed in stores.

If we continue to enforce the plastic shopping bag ban in certain U.S. cities: shoplifters will get an advantage with used bags, sickness will continue to spread with used bags
