How many were in your G1 meeting this past week?

Where and when did you conduct your G1 meeting this week?

Share how your G1 Team is taking on the likeness of a church; worship, practices the ordinances,

understands stewardship, prays for each other, etc.

Who looks like they may become leaders in your G1 Team?

Ask Each;

4. Vision Casting

Where there is no vision, the people perish. Proverbs 29:18

Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.

Proverbs 16:3

Faith is to believe what we do not see: the reverse of this faith is to see what we

believe

These people are perishing for lack of our Vision!

What is Prayer?

Communicating (talking) with Your Higher Power -

God

Page 15: Luke

Who Can Pray and Expect to be Heard?

Christians, Believers in Jesus Christ, will be heard.

Non-Believers in Jesus will only be heard with a Prayer of Confession and Repentance

(request to become a Christian) An example will Follow

We know that God does not listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, God listens to him. John 9:31

Page 16: Luke

What is the correct Posture for prayer?

There is no correct or certain posture for prayer. In the Bible people prayed on their knees (1 Kings 8:54), bowing (Exodus 4:31), on their faces before God (2 Chronicles 20:18; Matthew 26:39), and standing (1 Kings 8:22). You may pray with your eyes opened or closed, quietly or out loud—however you are most comfortable and least distracted.

Page 17: Luke

What is the Best Environment for Effective Prayer?

Personal Prayer should be in a quiet place with no

distractions

Community Prayer should be Reverent, Serious, Humble,

Page 18: Luke

If we never speak to our spouse or friend and never listen to anything they might have to say to us, our fellowship ship will quickly deteriorate. It is the same way with God. Prayer—communicating with God—helps us grow closer and more intimately connected with God.

Why Should You Pray?

Prayer Develops Our Relationship and Maintains our Fellowship with Your Higher Power - God.

Page 19: Luke

When to Pray

Anytime You are Reminded to Pray.

Start your day with Prayer.

When New Circumstances

Require His help.

Page 20: Luke

The Holy Spirit will help you in prayer when you don't know how to pray.

What If You Do Not Know How to Pray?

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Romans 8:26-27
