Steps for LUN Migration from IBM DS5020 Storage to DELL SC8000

1. Take full backup of Database.2. Take mksysb backup and all the config backup of server3. Take all the pv details from server. 4. Take all the VG details and respective pv and lv and filesystems associated with them.5. Hash out the filesystems on storage in /etc/filesystems6. Install the MPIO software on server.7. Shutdown the database and server.8. Take the LUN details of respective host from the IBM storage.9. Remove the LUN from the IBM storage and add them to host group of Dell storage.10. Create LUN of appropriate size on DELL Storage.11. Copy LUN data from IBM storage to newly created Dell Storage.12. Add the newly created LUN's in zone.13. Create a host group on the Dell storage and add the newly created LUN's in it.14. Start the server.15. Check for newly added LUN's from Dell. If all the LUN's are there and all the VG's are active then unhash the filesystems from /etc/filesystems.16. Mount all the filesystems.17. Start database and check intigrity of database.18. Deatach IBM LUN's from Dell Storage.
