Lunar Eclipse Rituals When it comes to do spellworks on a Lunar Eclipse.... I personally take three steps back and put my hands behind my

back.Yes, spellwork done during this time can be strong. Very strong.

Especially when it comes to dark spellwork. Unfortunately, when a total moon eclipse occurs during a Full Moon, there

are so many unexpected results and things can take the most unusual twists and turns, that personally I'd rather not even

try.

There is a twofold "madness of the universal energy" during a Lunar eclipse. The peak of the lunar energy is abruptly

cut, worse than on a void of course. You never know what can happen. And this one is in the sign of the Pisces. Hmmm,

even more magic energy feeding the madness.

That is precisely why usually magic done during a Lunar Eclipse is called "chaos magic". The deities/demi-

deities/elementals that are more or less chaotic in nature are the ones that respond to the summons at this time.

How much do you trust the Sidhe?

ABOUT THIS RITUAL:

This Ritual will be a variation of the basic Lunar Full Moon/Waning Moon Ritual with a twist;It will incorporate the energies of the Total Lunar Eclipse that will happen on this particular evening!

This ritual will be able to utilize the combination of energies from the Waning Gibbous Moon

with the gradual tide of the Eclipse. The most potent energy will be from the height of the Eclipsewhich will be at 1:17 AM ( MST ) when the Earth's shadow will totally occlude the direct Sunlight to

the Moon. This will give the effect and appearance of a Blood Moon in that the Moon will appear a

Reddish-Scarlet or Maroon color.

PURPOSE OF THIS RITUAL:

Due to the heavy emphasis on Darkness Energy, this ritual would be best suited for

banishments and exorcisms, but can also be harnessed for deep-scrying and/or divination work.

With the Gemini-Sagittarius axis involved, this Lunar Eclipse presses us to look more closely at our needs,lacks, and wants in our lives concerning the balance between Gemini-ruled and Sagittarius ruled areas of life.

The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the lower mind and Sagittarius

represents the higher mind. A Gemini Moon encourages us to think logically, while Sagittarius persuades us to

think in a broader manner. Sagittarius symbolizes the quest for meaning and ideas that expand upon the here and

now. Gemini is quite comfortable in his or her immediate environment or neighborhood, while Sagittarius

stimulates us to venture beyond. Neglecting either end of the axis will surely backfire on us. Ideally, a balance

should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Lunar Eclipse invites us to do. This eclipse isabout communication, attitude, and our sense of adventure. Something has been building inside of us, and now

is the time when the energy of the cosmos fairly demands that we let it out. Over the coming weeks, we will

discover what this means for us. For now, we cant sit on our feelings. We need to express them.

Therefore, this ritual's purpose will be to counteract our negative qualities, by replacing them

with the desirable opposite qualities. So this ritual will be purposed for replacing or shifting our

conscious attentions and intentions more toward what we desire.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

1. Table for use as an Altar ( out of doors if possible ),

2. Black-colored cloth for altar-dressing,

3. Ocean, Ocean Breeze, or Sea Mist Incense,

4. Some feathers for the East,

5. Stone Volcanic Rock or Orange/Red Carnelian for the South,6. Moon water purified with Sea Salt for the West,

7. White Sand for the North ( with maybe a pinch of Black Sand in the center of it ),

8. Gold and Silver Candles for the God and Goddess,

9. Pieces of Petrified Wood, Amethyst, Tigereye, Mica ( for directions North, West, South, and East ),

10. Besom,

11. One each votive candle: Pink, Purple, and Yellow,

12. One each oil: A Full Moon or equivalent, and a Dark Moon Oil

ALTAR SET-UP:

With the altar facing North, if possible, is dressed with the Black cloth. Have the Quarters symbols set

in their respective directions ( feathers - East, Volcanic stones - South, Water ( with Sea Salt ) - West,

and White Sand ( with a little Black Sand in the center of it ) - North ). The three votives should bearranged in a triangle pattern at the center of the altar ( with Pink in the North position, Purple in the

Southwest corner, and Yellow in the Southeast corner ). The Gold candle for the God is to the Left and

the Silver candle for the Goddess is on the Right. Anoint the Purple and Yellow votives; Yellow: FullMoon Oil, Purple: Dark Moon Oil ( 4 drops on the directions of each ).

MEDITATION:

Imagine taking Yesterday's unneeded, outdated habits, feelings, and burdens and

throwing them into a dark hole. Imagine asking Leviathan to see them done and gone. Imagine

having Leviathan guide you through the Gates of Darkness, and through the mists and shadows

of the Underworld, to a tunnel that shines a light at the end of it.

Imagine parting company with Leviathan and bidding him your thanks and well-wishes.

You meet Quetzalcoatl at the start of your journey towards the brilliant Light at the end of the

tunnel. As you approach it, you feel it get warmer and more soothing as you feel your burdens

being completely washed away by the brilliant Light of what looks like a Gold Sun.

Once you arrive at the end of the tunnel, you part company with Quetzalcoatl and bid

him your thanks and well-wishes. Here, you meet up with Abraxas, the being of Balance, who

helps you to understand what has just happened when traversing from the Darkness into the

Light. His help and guidance helps you to integrate what you have just experienced on your

journey. He points your attention to the night sky where you see the blood-red moon as itpasses over the head of the constellation of Orion.

This vision has you seeing that the Moon's position over Orion makes it resemble a

halo ( like a spiritual warrior or saint ). Abraxas reasons that all spiritual beings are also

warriors when they become Self-aware and aware of their Divine Inner-Being. They then come

to realize that the ultimate battle that most do not understand, is not from outside of them, but

from within! The constant battles are between the opposing sides of Self where one has not

reconciled with BOTH of the sides of the same Being! Life and Death are only opposites in

polarity, but are necessary for each other as the one can not exist without the other. They are

opposite twins of each other.

As he leads you back to the present time and place, he wishes you good luck and manyblessings on your continued voyage through Life.

Reconcile and make peace between your two sides,

for they are still both part of you the One.

SOME THOUGHTS WHILE CONDUCTING THIS RITUAL, AND AFTERWARD:

The Moon over Orion was a very interesting aspect of this evening! It was also a good image tofocus and meditate on as it was a good source of inner-strength and inspiration for other things. The

Moon occupied a region near or above where I figured Orion's head would be.

Not only was this an amazing experience, but the planets were in a very interesting alignment!

There was a LOT of energy from virtually all of the elemental forces. As the Lunar Eclipse cycle

progressed, I could actually feel the changing of polarities of the energies around me, as if I was ridinga roller-coaster! The Light energies were very strong. The Dark energies, for a short while, were

particularly strong. Then, the upsurge of the Light energy from the waning hours of the eclipse were

quite evident.

This was a very good evening to do some fast-acting and very effective banishing and cleansing

work! This, as one post I read on-line stated, had the effect of a full month's worth of Lunar work in

just a few hours! WOW! No kidding! My meditations on this evening were especially deep and veryexpansive in experiences. Seemed like it was very easy to trance out with the added help of the

planetary-alignments and the alignment of the times and cycles.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that few in this world get to take part in. I have heard

two different thoughts on when the previous Winter Solstice Lunar Eclipse occurred: About 456 years

ago, and one at about 376 years ago. In either direction or thought, this kind of event will not happenagain for a very long time; at least after we and our children and probably grand-children have come

and gone from this world!

I look forward to what manifests and how well in the coming days, weeks, months, or evenyears. I also wish well and in good health, those who I have sent healing and loving energies too! May

this past eclipse be a reminder, and a seal, that good things will come and we see the world move back

into balance and harmony with Nature and Nature's God(Goddess).
