begum, Samira Sahiba, hosted a luncheon party in a posh restaurant Woking given in honour of our

beloved Hazrat Ameer-i-Qaum, Professor Dr Abdul Karim Saeed Pasha Sahib. Jazak Allah!

We are indeed thankful to Dr. Jawad Ahmad for submitting such informative and elegant photographs of

this cordial function which we have selected for the publication of this special supplement. Jazak Allah!

We also thank the beloved father of Dr. Jawad Ahmad, the venerable Brother Nasir Ahmad Sahib, for

writing such a comprehensive report and for sharing his editorial skills in the preparation of this

supplement. Jazak Allah! May Allah (swt) bless both father and son for their assistance in the preparation

Welcome lunch in honour of Hazrat Ameer Dr. Abdul Karim Saeed at Jholpali

Restaurant, Byfleet, Woking Mr Azhar-ud-Din and Mrs Samira Ahmad hosted a welcome lunch in honour of Hazrat Ameer, Head of

the Worldwide Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, on 13th

November, 2011 at Jholpali Restaurant, Byfleet,

Woking, England.

Brothers and sisters from Woking, London, Aylesbury, Croydon, Slough and Nottingham attended the

lunch. Among them were Dr Zahid Aziz and family, Br Shahid Aziz and family, Br Ross Mahmood and

family, Dr Jawad Ahmad and family, Syed Nasir Ahmad sahib, Mrs Nasira Tufail, Mr Mubarak Foggerty

and family, Mrs Saqib and family, Mrs Anwar, Mrs Habib Ur Rehaman Sadiq, Mrs Syed Mahboob

Ashraf, Mrs Mahpara Khalid Iqbal, Mr Zaman Shaw and Mrs Shami Shaw, and Mr Mazhar Ahmad.

Coincidently, it was also the 15th

wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Azhar-ud-Din Ahmad.

After everyone had enjoyed a delicious lunch, an anniversary cake was cut.

Hazrat Ameer thanked Mr and Mrs Ahmad for arranging the wonderful and enjoyable lunch and prayed

for their health and happiness and for their children and also for all the members and children of the

Jama‘at, that Allah may bless them with knowledge and prosperity and that He may protect them from all

kinds of evil and tribulations. He fervently prayed for the children that they may be a source of peace and

comfort for their parents and be infused with a zeal to practise and serve the cause of Islam.

He was pleased to see Sis. Samira Ahmad’s mother, and Mrs. Nasira Tufail, wife of the late Maulana

Sheikh Muhammad Tufail, at the lunch, in spite of their ill health.

Later, Hazrat Ameer led the Zuhr and Asr at Mr and Mrs Azhar-ud-Din Ahmad’s home, after which the

guests sat down for tea, before departing around 6 pm.
