About SkinAging creates skin that is drier, thinner, and less

elastic, and with overexposure to sunlight, the inherent antioxidant qualities of skin can be compromised, with free radical damage possible throughout the skin layers. The fat-soluble carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin have been shown to enhance skin hydration and elasticity, which in turn help reduce the occurrence of wrinkles and fine lines. Natural sources of these carotenoids include green leafy vegetables, as well as pistachios, peppers, corn, and avocados. Lutein and zeaxanthin can also be taken as supplements by people wanting to counter the negative impact of aging and sun exposure on the skin.
