Linda D. Bukowski-Wilson RN, BSN Abu Dhabi, UAE +971 54-474-8985 [email protected] PROFILE I am a Registered Nurse (HAAD) with over fifteen years experience in the medical field. My initial job as a Medical Assistant allowed for a smooth transition into the nursing profession. I previously worked at St Luke’s Health Networks 37 bed Level I Trauma Center as staff and charge nurse for 8+ years and continue to support the department on a per- diem basis as well at one of their smaller Emergency Departments. In an effort to expand my skill set, I am also currently employed as a Pre/Post operative nurse on a per- diem basis as well. As a staff/charge nurse, I perform and make decisions in a timely fashion: determine acuity level using the ESI algorithm, decide emergent patient testing and treatment evaluation. In this small window, I am able to analyze the algorithm and provide critical recommendations to the appropriate personnel. My performance amidst this fast-paced, invigorating environment allows me to utilize and adapt my skill set to my patients’ needs. I often function in multiple roles within the Emergency Department which enables me to enhance my teamwork capabilities. I am able to work well with medical personnel from various disciplines to achieve optimum patient outcomes. I can easily adapt to technology, use data normalization techniques, and I am well versed in Electronic Nursing Charting. I believe my attributes of superior leadership, desire to better myself as well as my team, and the determination to further my career in Emergency Medicine will allow me to effectively move the department towards positive growth.
