RESOLUTION DECLARING AN INTENT TO ABANDON AND CLOSE a 20-foot alleyway between West Morehead and Brymt Stmet in the City of Charlotte,

Whereas* Nelrtn El- has filed apetition to close a 24feet aUeyway between West Morehead h t and Bryant Str& in the city of Charlotte; and

Wherees, the 20-foot alleyway to be closed lies from West More- Street southwardly approximately 290 feet to Bryant Skeet as &own in a nutp maxked "Exhibit A" and is more particularly described by metes and bounds in a document marked "Exhibit B , both of which are atailable for inspection in the office of the City Clerk, City Hd1, Cbbtte , North Carolina

Wbfem, the procedure for closing streets and alleys as outlined in North C a r o h General Statutes, Section 160A-299, requires that City Council k t adopt a resolution dwlarhg it's intent to close the street and calling a public hearing on the question; said s&lu€e further requires that the resolution shall be published once a week for two successive weeks prior to the hearing, and a copy thereof be sent by registered or certified mail to all owners of propeay adjoining the street as shown on the county tax records, and a notice of the closing and public hearing W be prominently posted in at least least places placesqg said street or alley and

Now, therehre, be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of Charlotte, at it's regularly scheduled session of November 27,2000, that it intends to close a 20-foot alleyway between West Morehead Street and Bryant Street and that the said .street (or portion thereof) being more particularly described on a map and by a metes and bounds description available for inspection the City Clerk's office, aed hereby calls a public hearing on the question to be held at 7:OOpm on Monday, the &th day of January, 2001 in CMOC meeting chamber, 600 East 4th Street Charlotte North Carolina.

The City Clerk is hareby directed to publish a copy of this resolution in the Mecklenburg Times once a week for two successive weeks next preceding the date fixed here for such hearing as required by N.C.O.S. 16OA-299.
