Frequent Numbers/ Numeros Frequentes

In the Gospel today, Jesus tells us that “whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for

my sake will save it.”

This week, know that you will bring hope to the poor by your generous gift to the Society of St. Vincent de

Paul.

Saint Vincent’s Corner

The Pro-Life Place The Catechism teaches that "by sending his only Son and the Spirit of Love in the fullness of time, God has

revealed his innermost secret: God himself is an eternal exchange of love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and he

has destined us to share in that exchange" (221) through our acceptance and obedience to his divine plan for life,

love, marriage, and family. The design of Male and Female is a pre-ordained, sacred, complementarity that

reflects the love and life of the Blessed Trinity.

Crisis Pregnancy? Suffering from an abortion? Call 1-877-WeCare2. We want to help YOU! Please pray

YEAR OF FAITH/

AÑO DE LA FE

Society will become more peaceful and loving to the degree that we, as individuals embrace these virtues. We become better persons as we continue to discover the gift of being a child of God and giving of ourselves to others. What time do you set aside to improve yourself emotionally, physically and spiritually? In what ways do you give of your time to the care and needs of others?

CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING

To proclaim Jesus as Messiah is to recognize Him as God’s anointed; the one who saves us from sin and death, from despair and loneliness. It also means entering into the paradox of the cross with him: salvation from sin and death is through death; salvation from loneliness and despair is through submission, denial and loss. To be one with Christ means being willing to accept the cross – dying to self for others, even for our enemies. Are we willing to do this?
