finding the key to a Secure future—

It is that good feeling you get when you enter a building. The instant certainty that you have the best possible protection and security around you. It’s a feeling generated by our intel-ligent access solutions – enabling better buildings.

Our cylinders are important contributory factors in this domain. They offer exceptional technology married to materi-als of quality. Reliably secure, they offer excellent precision

and durability and will also blend in beautifully with their surroundings. Our product range offers a wide selection of individual solutions. For corporations and private buildings as well as for public buildings such as educational establish-ments, airports, hospitals and stadiums.

Our cylinders contain a complete product range providing for the most extensive of access security solutions. They can be customized to suit applications ranging from large facilities to smaller solutions based on niche customer profiles.

The various typologies are as illustrated below:

KEy TO DIFFER (KD) Each cylinder can be opened by its own key.

KEyED ALIKE (KA)Several cylinders with the same coding are opened by the same key.

MASTER KEy SySTEM (MKS)Each cylinder is opened by its own individual key and by the master key.

GRAND MASTER KEy SySTEM (GMKS)Each cylinder is opened by its own individual key, the corresponding master key and the corresponding grand master key.

COMMON LOCK SySTEM (CLS)Each cylinder is opened by its individual key, which can also open the common cylinders (e.g. at the communal entrance in an apartment block).

An additional transponder in the key cap enables combina-tion with MATRIX AIR. This eliminates the need for an additional card when all three systems are combined.

The status display on the key cap lights up when inserted in the cylinder. Green means access granted; red means access denied.

Our mechatronic system combines the benefits of a mechani-cal system with those of electronic systems.

secureThe system protects against unauthorized access through the assignment and control of access rights. The combination of related mechanical and electronic features provides double security and combines the advantages of both - mechanical and electronic systems. If the key is lost, the electronic com-ponent blocks access.

multitalentedThe DEC 369 system allows mechanical, mechatronic and electronic cylinders to be combined and operated with just one key. This key can additionally be combined with the MATRIX AIR electronic access control system to provide more flexibility and future-proof security.

durable Low-wear and extremely weather-resistant – even at tempera-tures from -20°C to +60°C. The cylinders are also protected from vandalism as they are fitted flush with the door and are therefore safe from easy access and damage. This is a major advantage in the public sector.

Flexible in combinationThe adaptable DEC 369 system can be combined with up to four different mechanical systems.

FastRapid data transfer via inductive reader technology and mag-netic strip on the key shaft. Data checking is activated as soon as the key enters the cylinder, enabling it to turn immediately once it is completely inserted.

hassle-free installationSimple key programming via software and programming inter-face. Authorizations are transferred from the user key or pro-gramming key to the cylinder and vice versa.

Easy retrofittingNo cabling necessary; programming is performed on PC. Exist-ing locking systems can easily be expanded with mechatronic cylinders without the complete system having to be replaced. The mechatronic cylinders can be installed quickly and easily on the desired doors. The reverse is similarly problem-free, i.e. mechatronic locking systems can be effortlessly retrofitted with mechanical cylinders.

The simple procedure for the wireless retrofitting of the me-chatronic cylinder is absolutely identical to retrofitting a me-chanical cylinder.

easy maintenanceThe battery can be checked at the press of a button on the key. If necessary, it can be quickly replaced as it is located – together with the access data chip – in the key head rather than in the cylinder.

the eLectronic cyLinder that adaPtS fLeXiBLy to the door— MATRIX AIR – great in combination with mechanical and mechatronic cylinders.

Slide the cylinder into the door, position knobs from left and right until they click into place. That’s it!

The integrated, telescoping cylinder can be readily adapted to different door thicknesses, eliminating the need for time-consuming detailed measurements at the actual door in advance of installation, so planning and realization are ren-dered much easier.

The MATRIX AIR electronic access system can be used in addition to or as an alternative to mechanical and mechatronic systems. It combines outstanding design, few components and simple, hassle-free installation.

Our MATRIX AIR fitting is the first electronic fitting that is as flat as a normal door fitting as the technology is integrated in the lever handle rather than in the fitting itself.

matriX air and matriX software enable a modular universal solution for small and large enterprises. Based on the requirements access authorizations can be shared offline, via access on card (aoC) or online.

Schools and colleges are high-traffic buildings. They require locking systems that enable, for example lecture auditoriums to be separated simply and conveniently from non-public ar-eas. The solution is to use the mechanical 261, 362 or 460

series – a comprehensive security system that offers a decisive advantage: one key. plus reliable protection from vandalism as all cylinders lock flush with the door.

When the crowd's enthusiasm threatens to spill over, it's good to know that the stadium's access management system can cope with the most diverse requirements, e.g. secure separa-tion of VIp and fan areas as well as protection from vandal-ism and weather exposure. The solution is a combination of

mechanical and mechatronic cylinders. Thanks to the combi-nation of electronic and mechanical components, the mecha-tronic system offers double the security and safety. The in-duction contact also enables extremely rapid access.

This locking system is able to combine a large number of cylinder types, irrespective of location. From simple cylinders for less security-critical areas through to mechatronic locking for high-security and outdoor areas. The mechatronic system DEC 369 offers additional security with simple control via a time management access system. Our electronic access

control MATRIX AIR offers an elegant design solution for a compelling access control system aligned to prestigious offices with frequently changing access authorizations. The MATRIX software is responsible for access control, time recording and management as well as interfaces with other safety and security systems.

Offices need to be secured to protect know-how and company assets. Our access control systems also enable greater access convenience to shared spaces between various departments e.g. conference rooms. This in turn allows secure organization of the entire office area as well

as of individual departments. Other benefits include easily changeable access authorizations, e.g. when a card is lost, elegant and uniform design as well as straightforward ex-pandability and movability on relocation.

Securing acceSS to reneWaBLe energieS— The master key system for wind energy plants.

Because they are often located in isolated spots, wind tur-bines and similar structures require special security solutions to protect them from the weather and, in particular, vandal-ism. The locking system is tailored precisely to such unusual conditions. The mechatronic cylinders can be adjusted flexi-bly to a wide range of access authorizations. When employees

leave the organization, their keys can easily be blocked. The electronic system automatically identifies the access authori-zation. In the case of third-party maintenance contracts, a key can even be programmed to allow access only on the rel-evant day.

MEChANICAL ACCESS CONTROL SySTEMS (MKS)—

A SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT—

example of a school with 80 doors to classroom and laboratories:

1 reproduction of keysWhenever the school employs a new teacher, with MKS they need to buy a new key. With an EAC solution, the procedure would involve just a few clicks in MATRIX and issue of a new key card.

2 Key lossIf an important key is lost, cylinders in all rooms have to be replaced and new keys issued. With an EAC online solution you would just revoke the access rights of one card in the software.

3 Conversation from laboratories to classroomsSome laboratories are turned into classrooms. Cylinders and keys have to be replaced as the settings and access rights are different. With EAC you can handle this situation with just a few clicks in the software.

4 sustainable investAlthough an EAC solution results in a higher investment outlay, in the long run the EAC solution is more cost-effective as well as being easier to adminis-ter and maintain.
