The WorkmasterThe Workmaster is a solid and durabletimber building that is supplied withsturdy 20mm thick timber doors andhung with heavy 16” galvanized hinges.

These buildings are perfect for homeworkshops or even robust enough forlight industrial use. The Workmaster isalso suited for secure storage or ahobby unit and remains one of the bestselling buildings we make. Also availablewith a spacious double door option forwider access and ride on lawnmowers,these quality buildings will stand thetest of time (and the weather).

The Workmaster is our premium range classicmodel with 3" by 2" (planed all round) PARstudwork and comes with proper, joinery-madewindows. Constructed in our own UK workshopsand made from slow-grown Scandanavian quality redwood timber.

Providing a correct base for yourWorkmaster BuildingOur timber buildings need a concretebase due to the weight of construction.The base should be solid and flat andthe same size as the footprint of ordered size. All of our buildings aresold as agricultural or storage portablebuildings and not suitable as residen-tial dwellings. If located in exposed locations, customers should considerusing ground anchors or use over-shed steel bonds to secure their building against strong winds.

Timber Upgrades & FlooringFlooring as standard is 16mm timberboarding, laid on tanalised floor bearers, but can be enhanced to18mm Ply EN-638 boarding, whichgives a more robust building floorfrom around £5 per sq metre. We canalso upgrade any of the walls of our12mm TGV timber buildings to 19mmand 3’ by 2’ PAR studwork, ask whenordering. Our precision-cut timber options illustrates the thickness ofmaterial used in our buildings - fromthe 12mm planks on standard modelsto the huge 70mm used on our SuperLog Cabins.

Bespoke Upgrade RequestsWe can and have, fitted literally hundreds of different options to ourbuildings over the years, The luxury ofbeing a bespoke manufacturer, is thatwe can deliver your building, exactlyhow you want it.

We deliver FREE to a 50 mile radiusfrom our factory postcode SS11 8YB.Deliveries beyond that are possible depending on scheduling and mayincur a small surcharge.

For larger buildings like our SuperLog Cabins we will travel much farther, soplease ask your agent when placingyour order.

A quick note on Planning Permission

It is always best to check with your localplanning authority, but best practice as ofMarch 2015 is below. We are not a planningauthority, so the below is a general set ofguidelines, as opposed to any definitiverules, please do check with your local authority if unsure.

Outbuildings must not cover more than halfthe area of land around the "original house".You must apply for planning if your buildingor structure is to be used for running a busi-ness or storing commercial goods.

You must apply for planning for separateself-contained living accommodation andfor microwave antennas. Garden buildingsare not permitted development forward ofthe principal elevation of your house. Thismeans the house as it was originally built or stood, on 1 July 1948.

Buildings or structures that are positionedwithin 2 metres of your boundary must notexceed 2.5m in height. We can design yourgarden office, summerhouse or log cabin tobe under 2.5m in height to keep within thislegislation.

Buildings or structures that are positionedmore than 2 metres from your boundarymust not exceed 3 metres in height, ormore than 4 metres high with a ridged roof.(Most of our buildings are under 4 metres in height).

You must apply for planning permission ifyour house is listed, you live within a conser-vation area, a national park, the broads, anarea of outstanding natural beauty (A.O.B.)or a world heritage site. In these areas, thetotal area of any building (more than 20 metres from the wall of your house) mustnot exceed 10 sqm.
