BYE LAWS COURSE AND CLUBHOUSE 1.0 BRS BOOKING MANDATORY: 1.1 From January 1st, 2020, it will be mandatory for all

members using the golf course to book their time slot/line on the BRS system before commencement of play.

1.2 No member block bookings, without names, will be permitted on the timesheet.

2.0 PRIORITY ON FIRST TEE/PRECEDENCE ON

COURSE: 2.1 The Course of the Day will be as set out on the Course

Notice board. Players (including visitors) playing the Course of the Day will have precedence over others playing a shorter round.

2.2 Intermediate members have the same playing privileges as full members.

3.0 JUNIOR PLAYING RIGHTS (NON-COMPETITION) 3.1 Subject to the priority arrangements as stated in the

Fixtures Diary and posted on the Notice Boards, junior members may play at any time provided the first tee is free.

3.2 Junior members not playing in a competition must give way to adults.

4.0 SLOW PLAY 4. 1 Players are asked to acquaint themselves with Section 1

of the Rules of Golf - Etiquette; Behaviour on the Course. Slow play must be avoided. Players searching for a ball should call through, without delay, players waiting behind them – they should not wait for three minutes to do so.

5.0SNOOKER ROOM: 5.1 Subject to the provisions contained in Rule 22 of the

Rules of the Club, the Snooker Room (which forms an integral part of the licensed area of the Club) is for the use of all categories of Members provided they are 16 years of age and over and any such other person(s) as, from time to time, may be permitted by the Club Council.

5.2 The Snooker Room is also for the use of Members' guests who, on the day, have paid the appropriate golfing green fee or competition entry fee, when invited to play with a Member.

5.3 Junior Members, even if playing with a Member, must forego their turn at the table(s) to commence a frame, if requested to do so by other than a Junior Member.

5.4 Snooker Room official closing time is at the discretion of Club Council.

6.0 OTHER INDOOR ACTIVITIES 6.1 A Member shall be entitled to introduce the same Guest

to participate in any indoor club activity not more often than three times in any one session or year and such Guest may not be introduced to the same activity by another member in the aforementioned season or year.

7.0 STANDARD OF DRESS 7.1 Neat casual dress is essential in the clubhouse. 7.2 Tailored shorts with socks (men), golf shorts, skorts &

skirts (ladies) are acceptable on the course and in the clubhouse.

7.3 Ladies golf tops must have either a collar or sleeves. 7.4 Sleeveless or collarless shirts, tank tops, football jerseys,

tracksuits, tennis & football shorts (men) are not permitted either in the clubhouse or on the course.

7.5 No Denim jeans to be worn on the course. 7.6 Steel spikes are not permitted in the clubhouse other

than the locker rooms. 7.7 Soft spike golf shoes must be cleaned before wearing

them in the clubhouse.

8.0 MEMBERS GOLF 8.1 All club competitions are played under the “Terms of

Competition” booklet, which was published by the Men’s Executive Committee in 2015 and is displayed on the Notice Board beside the entrance to the Men’s Golf Office. Terms of Competitions for the Ladies are published and displayed both in the Ladies locker room and on the website.

9.0 GENERAL: 9.1 No notices or advertisements shall be posted or exhibited

in the Clubhouse without the express permission of the Club Council or the General Manager.

9.2 Players (and their supporters) in matches and competitions, other than those confined to Members, shall be deemed to be temporary Members for the day of such match or competition and practice therefor, upon payment of the appropriate entry or green fee, if any.

9.3 Local Rules are as printed on score cards and/or as posted on the course notice board from time to time.

9.4 Closure of the course can be decided on by the Course Superintendent or his designate or any two members of the Club Council.

9.5 Practice on the golf course is restricted to the use of not more than two balls.
